كتاب الوصايا
Rapporté par Ibn 'Abbas : Sa'd bin 'Ubadah est venu voir le Prophète ﷺ et a dit : « Ma mère est morte et elle avait un vœu à accomplir mais elle ne l'a pas fait. » Il a dit : « Accomplis-le pour elle. »

أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، - هُوَ ابْنُ عُرْوَةَ - عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ جَاءَ سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ إِنَّ أُمِّي مَاتَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا نَذْرٌ وَلَمْ تَقْضِهِ قَالَ " اقْضِهِ عَنْهَا ".
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said:Sa'd bin 'Ubadah came to the Prophet and said: "My mother has died and she had a vow to fulfill but she did not do so." He said: "Fulfill it on her behalf

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ سعد بن عبادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آ کر عرض کیا: میری ماں انتقال کر گئی ہیں اور ان کے ذمہ ایک نذر ہے اور وہ اسے پوری نہیں کر سکی ہیں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”تم اسے ان کی طرف سے پوری کر دو“۔
