كتاب الجهاد
Rapporté par Abu Salih, l’esclave affranchi de 'Uthman : 'Uthman bin 'Affan a dit : J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) dire : « Un jour dans la voie d’Allah vaut mieux que mille jours à faire autre chose. »

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْنٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَهْرَةُ بْنُ مَعْبَدِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، مَوْلَى عُثْمَانَ قَالَ قَالَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " يَوْمٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ يَوْمٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Abu Salih, the freed slace of 'Uthman, said:"uthman bin 'Affan said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: A day in the cause of Allah is better than a thousand days doing anything else
Traduction en ourdou
عثمان بن عفان رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے: ”اللہ کے راستے ( جہاد ) کا ایک دن اس کے سوا کے ہزار دن سے بہتر ہے“۔
