Hadith 3157 — Livre 25: The Book of Jihad
كتاب الجهاد
Rapporté par 'Abdullah bin Qatadah : Il a entendu Abu Qatadah rapporter du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) qu’il s’est levé parmi eux et a dit que le Jihad dans la voie d’Allah et la foi en Allah sont les meilleures œuvres. Un homme s’est alors levé et a dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah, si je suis tué dans la voie d’Allah, Allah pardonnera-t-Il mes péchés ? » Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) répondit : « Oui, si tu es tué dans la voie d’Allah, que tu es patient, que tu cherches la récompense, que tu fais face à l’ennemi sans fuir – sauf la dette. Jibril (paix sur lui) me l’a dit. »

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ قَامَ فِيهِمْ فَذَكَرَ لَهُمْ " أَنَّ الْجِهَادَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالإِيمَانَ بِاللَّهِ أَفْضَلُ الأَعْمَالِ " . فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ قُتِلْتُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَيُكَفِّرُ اللَّهُ عَنِّي خَطَايَاىَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " نَعَمْ إِنْ قُتِلْتَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَأَنْتَ صَابِرٌ مُحْتَسِبٌ مُقْبِلٌ غَيْرُ مُدْبِرٍ إِلاَّ الدَّيْنَ فَإِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ قَالَ لِي ذَلِكَ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Qatadah that he heard Abu Qatadah narrate from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), that he stood up among them and said that Jihad in the cause of Allah and belief in Allah are the best of deeds. Then a man stood up and said:"O Messenger of Allah, if I am killed in the cause of Allah, will Allah forgive my sins?" The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Yes, if you are killed in the cause of Allah, and you are patient and seek reward, and you are facing the enemy, not running way - except for debt. Jibril (peace be upon him) told me that
Traduction en ourdou
ابوقتادہ رضی الله عنہ روایت کرتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا آپ نے لوگوں کو ( ایک دن ) خطاب فرمایا: ”اور انہیں بتایا کہ اللہ کے راستے میں جہاد اور اللہ پر ایمان سب سے بہتر اعمال میں سے ہیں“، ( یہ سن کر ) ایک شخص کھڑا ہوا اور کہا: اللہ کے رسول! آپ کا کیا خیال ہے، اگر میں اللہ کے راستے میں قتل کر دیا جاؤں تو کیا اللہ تعالیٰ میرے گناہوں کو بخش دے گا؟ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ہاں، اگر تم اللہ کے راستے میں قتل کر دیئے گئے، اور تم نے لڑائی ثابت قدمی کے ساتھ آگے بڑھتے ہوئے ثواب کی نیت سے لڑی ہے پیٹھ دکھا کر بھاگے نہیں ہو تو قرض ( حقوق العباد ) کے سوا سب کچھ معاف ہو جائے گا۔ کیونکہ جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے مجھے ایسا ہی بتایا ہے“۔
