Hadith 3106 — Livre 25: The Book of Jihad
كتاب الجهاد
Rapporté par Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri : L’année de Tabuk, le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a parlé aux gens, appuyé contre sa monture. Il a dit : « Voulez-vous que je vous dise qui sont les meilleurs et les pires parmi les gens ? Parmi les meilleurs, il y a celui qui lutte pour la cause d’Allah, à cheval, à dos de chameau ou à pied, jusqu’à la mort. Parmi les pires, il y a un homme immoral qui lit le Livre d’Allah mais ne s’abstient pas de faire le mal. »

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَطَّابِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَامَ تَبُوكَ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ وَهُوَ مُسْنِدٌ ظَهْرَهُ إِلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ فَقَالَ " أَلاَ أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ النَّاسِ وَشَرِّ النَّاسِ إِنَّ مِنْ خَيْرِ النَّاسِ رَجُلاً عَمِلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَلَى ظَهْرِ فَرَسِهِ أَوْ عَلَى ظَهْرِ بَعِيرِهِ أَوْ عَلَى قَدَمِهِ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَهُ الْمَوْتُ وَإِنَّ مِنْ شَرِّ النَّاسِ رَجُلاً فَاجِرًا يَقْرَأُ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ لاَ يَرْعَوِي إِلَى شَىْءٍ مِنْهُ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri said:"in the year of Tabuk, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) addressed the people, while leaning against his mount. He said: 'Shall I not tell you of the best of the people and the worst of the people? Among the best of the people is a man who strives in the cause of Allah on the back of his horse, or on the back of his camel, or on his own two feet, until death comes to him. And among the worst of the people, is an immoral man (Fajir) who reads the Book of Allah but he does not refrain from doing anything bad because of it
Traduction en ourdou
ابو سعید خدری رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ غزوہ تبوک کے سال رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنی سواری سے پیٹھ لگائے خطبہ دے رہے تھے، آپ نے کہا: ”کیا میں تمہیں اچھے آدمی اور برے آدمی کی پہچان نہ بتاؤں؟ بہترین آدمی وہ ہے جو پوری زندگی اللہ کے راستے میں گھوڑے یا اونٹ کی پیٹھ پر سوار ہو کر یا اپنے قدموں سے چل کر کام کرے۔ اور لوگوں میں برا وہ فاجر شخص ہے جو کتاب اللہ ( قرآن ) تو پڑھتا ہے لیکن کتاب اللہ ( قرآن ) کی کسی چیز کا خیال نہیں کرتا“ ۱؎۔
