Hadith 2403 — Livre 22: The Book of Fasting
كتاب الصيام
Rapporté par Abdullah bin Amr : Le Messager d’Allah m’a dit : « Jeûne un jour par mois et tu auras la récompense pour le reste. » J’ai répondu : « Je peux faire plus que cela. » Il a dit : « Jeûne deux jours et tu auras la récompense pour le reste. » J’ai dit : « Je peux faire plus que cela. » Il a dit : « Jeûne trois jours et tu auras la récompense pour le reste. » J’ai dit : « Je peux faire plus que cela. » Il a dit : « Jeûne quatre jours et tu auras la récompense pour le reste. » J’ai dit : « Je peux faire plus que cela. » Le Messager d’Allah a dit : « Le meilleur jeûne est celui de Dawud ; il jeûnait un jour et ne jeûnait pas le jour suivant. »

أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ فَيَّاضٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عِيَاضٍ، قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " صُمْ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ يَوْمًا وَلَكَ أَجْرُ مَا بَقِيَ " . قُلْتُ إِنِّي أُطِيقُ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ . قَالَ " فَصُمْ يَوْمَيْنِ وَلَكَ أَجْرُ مَا بَقِيَ " . قُلْتُ إِنِّي أُطِيقُ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ . قَالَ " فَصُمْ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ وَلَكَ أَجْرُ مَا بَقِيَ " . قُلْتُ إِنِّي أُطِيقُ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ . قَالَ " صُمْ أَرْبَعَةَ أَيَّامٍ وَلَكَ أَجْرُ مَا بَقِيَ " . قُلْتُ إِنِّي أُطِيقُ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَفْضَلُ الصَّوْمِ صَوْمُ دَاوُدَ كَانَ يَصُومُ يَوْمًا وَيُفْطِرُ يَوْمًا " .
Traduction anglaise
Abdullah bin Amr said:"The Messenger of Allah said to me: 'Fast one day of the month and you will have the reward of what is left.' I said: 'I am able to do more than that.' He said: 'Fast two days and you will have the reward of what is left.' I said: 'I am able to do more than that.' He said: 'Fast three days and you will have the reward of what is left.' I said: 'I am able to do more than that.' He said: 'Fast four days and you will have the reward of what is left.' I said: ' I am able to do more than that.' The messenger of Allah said: 'The best fasting is the fast of Dawud; he used to fast one day and not the next."' 2406. It was narrated that Abu Dharr said: "My beloved Prophet advised me to do three things which I will never give up, if Allah wills. He advised me to pray Duha to pray Witr before sleeping, and to fast three days of each month

عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے فرمایا: ”مہینے میں ایک دن روزہ رکھو تمہیں باقی دنوں کا ثواب ملے گا“، میں نے عرض کیا: میں اس سے زیادہ کی طاقت رکھتا ہوں، آپ نے فرمایا: ”دو دن رکھ لیا کر، تجھے باقی دنوں کا ثواب مل جایا کرے گا“، میں نے کہا: میں اس سے زیادہ کی طاقت رکھتا ہوں، آپ نے فرمایا: ”تو تین دن رکھ لیا کرو تمہیں باقی دنوں کا بھی اجر ملا کرے گا“، میں نے کہا: میں اس سے بھی زیادہ کی طاقت رکھتا ہوں، تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”چار دن رکھ لیا کرو باقی دنوں کا بھی اجر بھی تمہیں ملا کرے گا“، میں نے عرض کیا: میں اس سے بھی زیادہ کی طاقت رکھتا ہوں تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”سب سے افضل روزہ داود علیہ السلام کا روزہ ہے، وہ ایک دن روزہ رکھتے تھے اور ایک دن افطار کرتے تھے“۔
