كتاب الصيام
Rapporté par 'Aishah, la mère des croyants : Elle a dit : « Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ est venu me voir un jour et a dit : “As-tu quelque chose (à manger) ?” Nous avons répondu : “Non.” Il a dit : “Alors je jeûne.” »

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا وَكِيعٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا طَلْحَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ، عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، قَالَتْ دَخَلَ عَلَىَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَقَالَ " هَلْ عِنْدَكُمْ شَىْءٌ " . قُلْنَا لاَ . قَالَ " فَإِنِّي صَائِمٌ " .

It was narrated that 'Aishah, the mother of the Believers, said:"The Messenger of Allah came to me one day and said: 'Do you have anything (to eat) we said: 'No.' he said: 'Then I am fasting

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک دن میرے پاس تشریف لائے اور پوچھا: ”تمہارے پاس ( کھانے کی ) کوئی چیز ہے؟“ ہم نے کہا: نہیں۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ”تو میں روزہ سے ہوں“۔
