Hadith 2091 — Livre 22: The Book of Fasting
كتاب الصيام
Rapporté par Anas : Il nous était interdit dans le Coran d’interroger le Prophète sur ce qui n’était pas obligatoire, alors nous étions contents lorsqu’un homme sage du désert venait lui poser des questions. Un homme du désert vint et dit : « Ô Muhammad, ton messager est venu chez nous et nous a dit que tu affirmes qu’Allah, le Puissant et le Sublime, t’a envoyé. » Il répondit : « Il a dit vrai. » Il demanda : « Qui a créé les cieux ? » Il répondit : « Allah. » Il demanda : « Qui a créé la Terre ? » Il répondit : « Allah. » Il demanda : « Qui y a placé les montagnes ? » Il répondit : « Allah. » Il demanda : « Qui y a créé les choses utiles ? » Il répondit : « Allah. » Il dit : « Par Celui qui a créé les cieux et la Terre, qui y a placé les montagnes et créé les choses utiles, est-ce Allah qui t’a envoyé ? » Il répondit : « Oui. » Il dit : « Ton messager a dit que nous devons accomplir cinq prières chaque jour et chaque nuit. » Il répondit : « Il a dit vrai. » Il demanda : « Par Celui qui t’a envoyé, Allah t’a-t-Il ordonné cela ? » Il répondit : « Oui. » Il dit : « Ton messager a dit que nous devons payer la Zakat sur nos biens. » Il répondit : « Il a dit vrai. » Il demanda : « Par Celui qui t’a envoyé, Allah t’a-t-Il ordonné cela ? » Il répondit : « Oui. » Il dit : « Ton messager a dit que nous devons jeûner le mois de Ramadan chaque année. » Il répondit : « Il a dit vrai. » Il demanda : « Par Celui qui t’a envoyé, Allah t’a-t-Il ordonné cela ? » Il répondit : « Oui. » Il dit : « Ton messager a dit que nous devons accomplir le Hajj si nous en avons les moyens. » Il répondit : « Il a dit vrai. » Il demanda : « Par Celui qui t’a envoyé, Allah t’a-t-Il ordonné cela ? » Il répondit : « Oui. » Il dit : « Par Celui qui t’a envoyé avec la vérité, je ne ferai ni plus ni moins que cela. » Quand il partit, le Prophète ﷺ dit : « S’il est sincère, il entrera sûrement au Paradis. »

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ نُهِينَا فِي الْقُرْآنِ أَنْ نَسْأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ شَىْءٍ فَكَانَ يُعْجِبُنَا أَنْ يَجِيءَ الرَّجُلُ الْعَاقِلُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ فَيَسْأَلَهُ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ أَتَانَا رَسُولُكَ فَأَخْبَرَنَا أَنَّكَ تَزْعُمُ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَرْسَلَكَ قَالَ " صَدَقَ " . قَالَ فَمَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاءَ قَالَ " اللَّهُ " . قَالَ فَمَنْ خَلَقَ الأَرْضَ قَالَ " اللَّهُ " . قَالَ فَمَنْ نَصَبَ فِيهَا الْجِبَالَ قَالَ " اللَّهُ " . قَالَ فَمَنْ جَعَلَ فِيهَا الْمَنَافِعَ قَالَ " اللَّهُ " . قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاءَ وَالأَرْضَ وَنَصَبَ فِيهَا الْجِبَالَ وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا الْمَنَافِعَ آللَّهُ أَرْسَلَكَ قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ وَزَعَمَ رَسُولُكَ أَنَّ عَلَيْنَا خَمْسَ صَلَوَاتٍ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ وَلَيْلَةٍ قَالَ " صَدَقَ " . قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي أَرْسَلَكَ آللَّهُ أَمَرَكَ بِهَذَا قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ وَزَعَمَ رَسُولُكَ أَنَّ عَلَيْنَا زَكَاةَ أَمْوَالِنَا قَالَ " صَدَقَ " . قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي أَرْسَلَكَ آللَّهُ أَمَرَكَ بِهَذَا قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ وَزَعَمَ رَسُولُكَ أَنَّ عَلَيْنَا صَوْمَ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فِي كُلِّ سَنَةٍ . قَالَ " صَدَقَ " . قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي أَرْسَلَكَ آللَّهُ أَمَرَكَ بِهَذَا قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ وَزَعَمَ رَسُولُكَ أَنَّ عَلَيْنَا الْحَجَّ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلاً . قَالَ " صَدَقَ " . قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي أَرْسَلَكَ آللَّهُ أَمَرَكَ بِهَذَا قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ فَوَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لاَ أَزِيدَنَّ عَلَيْهِنَّ شَيْئًا وَلاَ أَنْقُصُ . فَلَمَّا وَلَّى قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لَئِنْ صَدَقَ لَيَدْخُلَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Anas said:"We were forbidden in the Quran to ask the Prophet about anything not imperative, so we liked it when a wise man from among the people of the desert came and asked him. A man from among the desert people came and said: 'O Muhammad, your messenger came to us and told us that you say that Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has sent you.' He said: 'He spoke the truth.' He said: 'Who created the heavens?' He said: 'Allah.' He said: 'Who created the Earth?' He said: 'Allah.' He said: 'Who set up the mountains in it?' He said: 'Allah.' He said: 'Who created beneficial things in them?' He said: 'Allah.' He said: 'By the One Who created the heavens and the Earth, and set up the mountains therein, and created beneficial things in them, has Allah sent you?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Your messenger said that we have to offer five prayers each day and night.' He said: 'He spoke the truth.' He said: 'By the One Who sent you, has Allah commanded you to do this?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Your messenger said that we have to pay Zakah on our wealth.' He said: 'He spoke the truth.' He said: 'By the One Who sent you, has Allah commanded you to do this?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Your messenger said that we have to fast the month of Ramadan each year.' He said: 'He spoke the truth.' He said: 'By the One Who sent You, has Allah commanded you to do this?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Your messenger said that we have to perform Hajj, those who can afford it.' He said: 'He spoke the truth.' He said: 'By the One Who sent you, has Allah commanded you to do this?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'By the One Who sent you with the truth, I will not do more than this or less.' When he left, the Prophet said: 'If he is sincere, he will certainly enter paradise

انس رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں: ہمیں قرآن کریم میں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے لایعنی بات پوچھنے سے منع کیا گیا تھا، تو ہمیں یہ بات اچھی لگتی کہ دیہاتیوں میں سے کوئی عقلمند شخص آئے، اور آپ سے نئی نئی باتیں پوچھے، چنانچہ ایک دیہاتی آیا، اور کہنے لگا: اے محمد! ہمارے پاس آپ کا قاصد آیا، اور اس نے ہمیں بتایا کہ آپ کہتے ہیں کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے آپ کو بھیجا ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”اس نے سچ کہا“، اس نے پوچھا: آسمان کو کس نے پیدا کیا؟ آپ نے کہا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ نے“ ( پھر ) اس نے پوچھا: زمین کو کس نے پیدا کیا؟ آپ نے کہا: ”اللہ نے“ ( پھر ) اس نے پوچھا: اس میں پہاڑ کو کس نے نصب کیے ہیں؟ آپ نے کہا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ نے“ ( پھر ) اس نے پوچھا: اس میں نفع بخش ( چیزیں ) کس نے بنائیں؟ آپ نے کہا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ نے“ ( پھر ) اس نے کہا: قسم اس ذات کی جس نے آسمان اور زمین کو پیدا کیا، اور اس میں پہاڑ نصب کیے، اور اس میں نفع بخش ( چیزیں ) بنائیں کیا آپ کو اللہ تعالیٰ نے بھیجا ہے؟ آپ نے کہا: ”ہاں“، پھر اس نے کہا: اور آپ کے قاصد نے کہا ہے کہ ہمارے اوپر ہر روز دن اور رات میں پانچ وقت کی نماز فرض ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”اس نے سچ کہا“، تو اس نے کہا: قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس نے آپ کو بھیجا! کیا اللہ تعالیٰ نے آپ کو ان ( نمازوں ) کا حکم دیا ہے؟ آپ نے کہا: ہاں، ( پھر ) اس نے کہا: آپ کے قاصد نے کہا ہے کہ ہم پر اپنے مالوں کی زکاۃ فرض ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: اس نے سچ کہا، ( پھر ) اس نے کہا: قسم اس ذات کی جس نے آپ کو بھیجا! کیا آپ کو اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس کا حکم دیا ہے؟ آپ نے کہا: ”ہاں“، ( پھر ) اس نے کہا: آپ کے قاصد نے کہا ہے: ہم پر ہر سال ماہ رمضان کے روزے فرض ہیں، آپ نے کہا: ”اس نے سچ کہا“ ( پھر ) اس نے کہا: کیا اللہ تعالیٰ نے آپ کو ان ( دنوں کے روزوں ) کا حکم دیا ہے؟ آپ نے کہا: ”ہاں“، ( پھر ) اس نے کہا: آپ کے قاصد نے کہا ہے: ہم میں سے جو کعبہ تک جانے کی طاقت رکھتے ہوں، ان پر حج فرض ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”اس نے سچ کہا“، اس نے کہا: قسم اس ذات کی جس نے آپ کو بھیجا! کیا اللہ تعالیٰ نے آپ کو اس کا حکم دیا ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”ہاں“، تو اس نے کہا: قسم اس ذات کی جس نے آپ کو حق کے ساتھ بھیجا فرمایا: میں ہرگز نہ اس میں کچھ بڑھاؤں گا اور نہ گھٹاؤں گا، جب وہ لوٹا تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اگر اس نے سچ کہا ہے تو یہ ضرور جنت میں داخل ہو گا“۔
