Hadith 2079 — Livre 21: The Book of Funerals

Rapporté par Abu Hurairah : J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ dire : « Un homme avait commis beaucoup de fautes, et au moment de mourir, il a dit à sa famille : “Quand je mourrai, brûlez mon corps, puis réduisez mes os en poudre et dispersez-les dans le vent et dans la mer. Par Allah, si Allah me reprend, Il me punira d’une manière qu’Il n’infligera à personne d’autre.” Sa famille fit ce qu’il avait demandé, mais Allah, le Puissant et le Sublime, ordonna à tout ce qui avait pris une partie de lui de la rendre. Et le voilà debout devant Allah, le Puissant et le Sublime, qui lui dit : “Qu’est-ce qui t’a poussé à faire cela ?” Il répondit : “La crainte de Toi.” Alors Allah lui pardonna. »

أَخْبَرَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " أَسْرَفَ عَبْدٌ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ حَتَّى حَضَرَتْهُ الْوَفَاةُ قَالَ لأَهْلِهِ إِذَا أَنَا مُتُّ فَأَحْرِقُونِي ثُمَّ اسْحَقُونِي ثُمَّ اذْرُونِي فِي الرِّيحِ فِي الْبَحْرِ فَوَاللَّهِ لَئِنْ قَدَرَ اللَّهُ عَلَىَّ لَيُعَذِّبَنِّي عَذَابًا لاَ يُعَذِّبُهُ أَحَدًا مِنْ خَلْقِهِ قَالَ فَفَعَلَ أَهْلُهُ ذَلِكَ قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ أَخَذَ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا أَدِّ مَا أَخَذْتَ فَإِذَا هُوَ قَائِمٌ قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مَا حَمَلَكَ عَلَى مَا صَنَعْتَ قَالَ خَشْيَتُكَ . فَغَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'There was a man who wronged himself greatly, and when he was dying he said to his family: When I am dead, burn my body then grind my bones and scatter me in the wind and at sea, for by Allah , if Allah gets hold of me, he will punish me in a way that He will not punish anyone else. So his family did that, but Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, said to everything that had taken any part of him to give up what it had taken. Then there he was, standing Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, said: What made you do what you did? He said: Fear of You. So Allah forgave him
Traduction en ourdou
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو کہتے سنا: ”ایک بندے نے اپنے اوپر ( بڑا ) ظلم کیا، یہاں تک کہ موت ( کا وقت ) آپ پہنچا، تو اس نے اپنے گھر والوں سے کہا: جب میں مر جاؤں تو مجھے جلا دینا، پھر مجھے پیس ڈالنا، کچھ ہوا میں اڑا دینا اور کچھ سمندر میں ڈال دینا، اس لیے کہ اللہ کی قسم! اگر اللہ تعالیٰ مجھ پر قادر ہوا تو ایسا ( سخت ) عذاب دے گا کہ ویسا عذاب اپنی کسی مخلوق کو نہیں دے گا“، تو اس کے گھر والوں نے ایسا ہی کیا، اللہ تعالیٰ نے ہر چیز کو جس نے اس کا کچھ حصہ لیا تھا حکم دیا کہ حاضر کرو جو کچھ تم نے لیا ہے، تو کیا دیکھتے ہیں کہ وہ سامنے کھڑا ہے، ( تو ) اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس سے پوچھا: تجھے ایسا کرنے پر کس چیز نے اکسایا؟ اس نے کہا: تیرے خوف نے، تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے اسے بخش دیا“۔
