Hadith 1508 — Livre 17: The Book of Praying for Rain (Al-Istisqa')
كتاب الاستسقاء
Rapporté par Hisham bin Ishaq bin Abdullah bin Kinanah : Son père a dit : « J’ai demandé à Ibn 'Abbas comment le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) priait pour la pluie. Il a dit : Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) est sorti dans un état d’humilité, suppliant et humble. Il s’est assis sur le minbar mais n’a pas fait de prêche comme le vôtre ; il a plutôt continué à invoquer, à supplier et à dire le takbir, et il a prié deux rak‘as comme il le faisait lors des deux fêtes. »

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ صَلاَةِ، رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي الاِسْتِسْقَاءِ فَقَالَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُتَبَذِّلاً مُتَوَاضِعًا مُتَضَرِّعًا فَجَلَسَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَلَمْ يَخْطُبْ خُطْبَتَكُمْ هَذِهِ وَلَكِنْ لَمْ يَزَلْ فِي الدُّعَاءِ وَالتَّضَرُّعِ وَالتَّكْبِيرِ وَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ كَمَا كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Hisham binIshaq bin Abdullah bin Kinanah that:His father said: "I asked Ibn 'Abbas how the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed for rain. He said: 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) went out (dressed) in a state of humility, beseeching and humble. He sat on the minbar but he did not deliver a Khutbah like this Khutbah of yours, rather he kept supplicating, beseeching and saying the takbir, and he prayed two rak'ahs as he used to do during the two 'Eids

اسحاق بن عبداللہ بن کنانہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہم سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے استسقاء کی نماز کے متعلق پوچھا، تو انہوں نے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پھٹے پرانے کپڑوں میں عاجزی اور گریہ وزاری کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے نکلے، اور منبر پر بیٹھے، تو آپ نے تمہارے اس خطبہ کی طرح خطبہ نہیں دیا، بلکہ آپ برابر دعا اور عاجزی کرتے رہے، اور اللہ کی بڑائی بیان کرنے میں لگے رہے، اور آپ نے دو رکعت نماز پڑھی جیسے آپ عیدین میں پڑھتے تھے۔
