Hadith 1242 — Livre 13: The Book of Forgetfulness (In Prayer)

Rapporté par ‘Abdullah : Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a prié et a fait plus ou moins de rak‘a. Quand il a fait le taslim, on lui a dit : "Ô Messager d’Allah, y a-t-il eu un changement concernant la prière ?" Il a répondu : "S’il y avait eu un changement concernant la prière, je vous l’aurais dit. Mais je suis un être humain et j’oublie comme vous oubliez. Si l’un de vous n’est pas sûr de sa prière, qu’il estime ce qui est correct et termine sa prière sur cette base, puis qu’il fasse le taslim et se prosterne deux fois

أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَزَادَ أَوْ نَقَصَ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ حَدَثَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ شَىْءٌ قَالَ " لَوْ حَدَثَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ شَىْءٌ أَنْبَأْتُكُمُوهُ وَلَكِنِّي إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ أَنْسَى كَمَا تَنْسَوْنَ فَأَيُّكُمْ مَا شَكَّ فِي صَلاَتِهِ فَلْيَنْظُرْ أَحْرَى ذَلِكَ إِلَى الصَّوَابِ فَلْيُتِمَّ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ لْيُسَلِّمْ وَلْيَسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that 'Abdullah said:"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed and did more or less (rak'ahs). When he had said the taslim, it was said: 'O Messenger of Allah, has there been some change concerning the prayer?' He said: 'If there had been some change concerning the prayer, I would have told you. Rather I am a human being and I forget as you forget. If any one of you is not sure about his prayer, let him consider an estimate of what is correct, and complete his prayer on that basis, then say the taslim and prostrate twice
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نماز پڑھائی تو آپ نے کچھ بڑھایا گھٹا دیا، جب آپ نے سلام پھیرا تو ہم نے پوچھا: اللہ کے رسول! کیا نماز میں کوئی نئی بات ہوئی ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: اگر نماز کے سلسلہ میں کوئی نیا حکم آیا ہوتا تو میں تمہیں اسے بتاتا، البتہ میں بھی انسان ہی ہوں، جس طرح تم لوگ بھول جاتے ہو، مجھ سے بھی بھول ہو سکتی ہے، لہٰذا تم میں سے کسی کو نماز میں کچھ شک ہو جائے تو اسے چاہیئے کہ وہ اس چیز کو دیکھے جو صحت و درستی کے زیادہ لائق ہے، اور اسی پر اتمام کرے، پھر سلام پھیرے، اور دو سجدے کر لے ۔
