Rapporté par Abdullah bin Mas’ud : J’allais voir le Prophète (ﷺ) pendant qu’il priait, et je le saluais. Il me rendait le salut. Puis je suis allé le voir alors qu’il priait, et il ne m’a pas répondu. Quand il a terminé la prière, il a dit aux gens : "Allah (SWT) a décrété que pendant la prière, vous ne devez parler que pour mentionner Allah (SWT), et ce n’est pas approprié pour vous, et vous devez vous tenir devant Allah (SWT) avec humilité

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي غَنِيَّةَ، - وَاسْمُهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ - وَالْقَاسِمُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْجَرْمِيُّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ كُلْثُومٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، - وَهَذَا حَدِيثُ الْقَاسِمِ - قَالَ كُنْتُ آتِي النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَأُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهِ فَيَرُدُّ عَلَىَّ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَىَّ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ أَشَارَ إِلَى الْقَوْمِ فَقَالَ " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - يَعْنِي - أَحْدَثَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ أَنْ لاَ تَكَلَّمُوا إِلاَّ بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَمَا يَنْبَغِي لَكُمْ وَأَنْ تَقُومُوا لِلَّهِ قَانِتِينَ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Abdullah bin Mas'ud said:"I used to come to the Prophet (ﷺ) when he was praying, and I would greet him with Salam, he would return my greeting. Then I came to him when he was praying, and he did not return my greeting. When he said the Taslim, he pointed to the people and said: "Allah (SWT) has decreed that in the prayer you should not speak except to remember Allah (SWT), and it is not appropriate for you, and that you should stand before Allah (SWT) with obedience
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آتا تھا، اور آپ نماز پڑھ رہے ہوتے تھے تو میں آپ کو سلام کرتا، تو آپ مجھے جواب دیتے، ( ایک بار ) میں آپ کے پاس آیا، اور میں نے آپ کو سلام کیا، آپ نماز پڑھ رہے تھے تو آپ نے مجھے جواب نہیں دیا، جب آپ نے سلام پھیرا، تو لوگوں کی طرف اشارہ کیا، اور فرمایا: اللہ نے نماز میں ایک نیا حکم دیا ہے کہ تم لوگ ( نماز میں ) سوائے ذکر الٰہی اور مناسب دعاؤں کے کوئی اور گفتگو نہ کرو، اور اللہ کے لیے یکسو ہو کر کھڑے رہا کرو ۔
