كتاب الطهارة
Rapporté par Ibn ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Abza, d’après son père : Un homme a interrogé ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab au sujet du Tayammum et il ne savait pas quoi répondre. ‘Ammar a dit : "Te souviens-tu quand nous étions en campagne, que je suis devenu en état de Janabah et me suis roulé dans la poussière, puis je suis allé voir le Prophète (ﷺ) et il a dit : 'Cela t’aurait suffi.'" (Un des rapporteurs) Shu‘bah a frappé ses mains sur ses genoux, a soufflé dans ses mains, puis s’est essuyé le visage et les paumes une seule fois

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ، عَنْ ذَرٍّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، سَأَلَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ عَنِ التَّيَمُّمِ، فَلَمْ يَدْرِ مَا يَقُولُ فَقَالَ عَمَّارٌ أَتَذْكُرُ حَيْثُ كُنَّا فِي سَرِيَّةٍ فَأَجْنَبْتُ فَتَمَعَّكْتُ فِي التُّرَابِ فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " إِنَّمَا يَكْفِيكَ هَكَذَا " . وَضَرَبَ شُعْبَةُ بِيَدَيْهِ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ وَنَفَخَ فِي يَدَيْهِ وَمَسَحَ بِهِمَا وَجْهَهُ وَكَفَّيْهِ مَرَّةً وَاحِدَةً .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abza, from his father, that a man asked 'Umar bin Al-Khattab about Tayammum and he did not know what to say. 'Ammar said:"Do you remember when we were on a campaign, and I became Junub and rolled in the dust, then I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and he said: 'This would have been sufficient.'" (One of the narrators) Shu'bah struck his hands on his knees and blew into his hands, then he wiped his face and palms with them once
Traduction en ourdou
عبدالرحمٰن بن ابزی سے روایت ہے کہ ایک شخص نے عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ سے تیمم کے متعلق سوال کیا، تو وہ نہیں جان سکے کہ کیا جواب دیں، عمار رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: کیا آپ کو یاد ہے؟ جب ہم ایک سریہ ( فوجی مہم ) میں تھے، اور میں جنبی ہو گیا تھا، تو میں نے مٹی میں لوٹ پوٹ لیا، پھر میں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تمہارے لیے اس طرح کر لینا ہی کافی تھا ، شعبہ نے ( تیمم کا طریقہ بتانے کے لیے ) اپنے دونوں ہاتھ دونوں گھٹنوں پر مارے، پھر ان میں پھونک ماری، اور ان دونوں سے اپنے چہرہ اور اپنے دونوں ہتھیلیوں پر ایک بار مسح کیا ۔
