Hadith 304 — Livre 8: Prayer in Congregation
كتاب جماعة الصلاة
Aicha, la femme du Prophète (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) a dit: «étant malade, l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) fit la prière assis et les hommes la firent debout; il leur fit signe de s'asseoir. La prière achevée, il leur dit: «l'imam n'a été institué que pour être suivi. Quand il s'incline, inclinez-vous, quand il relève la tête, relevez les vôtres, et s'il la fait assis, faites-la assis»

وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ شَاكٍ فَصَلَّى جَالِسًا وَصَلَّى وَرَاءَهُ قَوْمٌ قِيَامًا فَأَشَارَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَنِ اجْلِسُوا فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ " إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الإِمَامُ لِيُؤْتَمَّ بِهِ فَإِذَا رَكَعَ فَارْكَعُوا وَإِذَا رَفَعَ فَارْفَعُوا وَإِذَا صَلَّى جَالِسًا فَصَلُّوا جُلُوسًا " .
Traduction anglaise
Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, prayed while he was ill. He prayed sitting, and some people prayed behind him standing, and he indicated to them to sit down. When he left, he said, 'The imam is only appointed to be followed. When he goes into ruku, go into ruku and when he rises, rise and if he prays sitting, pray sitting
Traduction en ourdou
حضرت ام المومنیں عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ نماز پڑھی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بیماری سے بیٹھ کر اور لوگوں نے کھڑے ہو کر پڑھنا شروع کیا تب اشارہ کیا آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان سے کہ بیٹھ جاؤ پھر جب فارغ ہوئے نماز سے اور فرمایا امام اس لئے مقرر ہوا ہے کہ اس کی پیروی کی جائے جب امام رکوع کرے تم بھی رکوع کرو اور جب سر اٹھائے تم بھی سر اٹھاؤ اور جب امام بیٹھ کر نماز پڑھے تم بھی بیٹھ کر نماز پڑھو ۔
