كتاب الطهارة
Abou Houraira a dit: «Celui qui fait ses ablutions à la perfection puis sort vers la mosquée pour la prière, il sera considéré en prière tant qu'il ne cherchera qu'à prier. Pour chaque pas fait, on lui inscrira une bonne action et on lui effacera une mauvaise. Lorsque l'un de vous (se dirigeant vers la mosquée) entend le deuxième appel à la prière, qu'il ne hâte pas le pas, car,il aura la plus grande récompense, celui qui habite le plus loin de la mosquée». On demanda à Abou Houraira: «en vertu de quoi, Abou Houraira»? Il répondit: «à cause de la longueur du trajet qu'il traversera»

وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نُعَيْمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمَدَنِيِّ الْمُجْمِرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ فَأَحْسَنَ وُضُوءَهُ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ عَامِدًا إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ فَإِنَّهُ فِي صَلاَةٍ مَادَامَ يَعْمِدُ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ وَإِنَّهُ يُكْتَبُ لَهُ بِإِحْدَى خُطْوَتَيْهِ حَسَنَةٌ وَيُمْحَى عَنْهُ بِالأُخْرَى سَيِّئَةٌ فَإِذَا سَمِعَ أَحَدُكُمُ الإِقَامَةَ فَلاَ يَسْعَ فَإِنَّ أَعْظَمَكُمْ أَجْرًا أَبْعَدُكُمْ دَارًا . قَالُوا لِمَ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ مِنْ أَجْلِ كَثْرَةِ الْخُطَا .
Traduction anglaise
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nuaym ibn Abdullah al-Madani al-Mujmir that he heard Abu Hurayra say, "If someone does wudu and does it correctly and then goes off intending to do the prayer, then he is in prayer as long as he intends to do the prayer. A good action is written for every alternate step he makes and a wrong action is erased for the second. When you hear the iqama do not lengthen your stride, and the one who has the greatest reward is the one whose house is farthest away." They said, "Why, Abu Hurayra?" He replied, "Because of the greater number of steps
Traduction en ourdou
نعیم بن عبداللہ نے سنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کہتے تھے جس نے وضو کیا اچھی طرح پھر نکلا نماز کی نیت سے تو وہ گویا نماز میں ہے جب تک نماز کا قصد رکھتا ہے ہر قدم پر ایک نیکی لکھی جاتی ہے اور دوسرے قدم پر ایک برائی مٹائی جاتی ہے تو جب کوئی تم میں سے تکبیر نماز کی سنے تو نہ دوڑے کیونکہ زیادہ ثواب اسی کو ہے جس کا مکان زیادہ دور ہو کہا انہوں نے کیوں اے ابوہریرہ کہا اس وجہ سے کہ اس کے قدم زیادہ ہوں گے
