كتاب الطهارة
Amr Ibn Yahia Al-Mazini a rapporté d'après son père qu'il a dit à Abdallah Ibn Zaid Ibn Assem le grand père de Amr Ibn Yahia Al-Mazini et l'un des compagnons de l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah): «Peux-tu me montrer comment l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) faisait ses ablutions»? Abdallah répondit: «Certes, oui». Il fit apporter de l'eau, versa sur ses deux mains, les lava deux foix, se rinça la bouche, fit entrer de l'eau dans son nez en la reniflant par trois fois, puis il se lava le visage trois fois, et les bras jusqu'aux coudes deux foix, puis il se frotta la tête avec les deux mains en les faisant passer d'avant en arrière puis d'arrière en avant et en commençant par le sommet de la tête, allant vers l'occiput, enfin il se lava les pieds»

حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى الْمَازِنِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ وَهُوَ جَدُّ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى الْمَازِنِيِّ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم هَلْ تَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ تُرِيَنِي كَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَتَوَضَّأُ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ نَعَمْ . فَدَعَا بِوَضُوءٍ فَأَفْرَغَ عَلَى يَدِهِ فَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ تَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْثَرَ ثَلاَثًا ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلاَثًا ثُمَّ غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ ثُمَّ مَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ بِيَدَيْهِ فَأَقْبَلَ بِهِمَا وَأَدْبَرَ بَدَأَ بِمُقَدَّمِ رَأْسِهِ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ بِهِمَا إِلَى قَفَاهُ ثُمَّ رَدَّهُمَا حَتَّى رَجَعَ إِلَى الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي بَدَأَ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ .
Traduction anglaise
Yahya related to me from Malik from Amr ibn Yahya al-Mazini that his father once asked Abdullah ibn Zayd ibn Asim, who was the grandfather of Amr ibn Yahya al-Mazini and one of the companions of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, if he could show him how the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, did wudu. Abdullah ibn Zayd ibn Asim agreed to do so and asked for water to do wudu. He poured some out on to his hand and washed each hand twice and then rinsed his mouth and snuffed water up his nose and blew it out three times.Then he washed hisface three times and both of his arms up to the elbows twice. He then wiped his head with both hands, taking his hands from hisforehead to the nape of his neck and then bringing them back to where he had begun. Then he washed his feet

عمرو بن یحیی المازنی اپنے باپ سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے کہا کہ عبداللہ بن زید رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے جو دادا ہیں عمرو بن یحیی کے اور اصحاب میں سے ہیں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے کیا تم مجھ کو دکھا سکتے ہو کس طرح وضو کرتے تھے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کہا انہوں نے ہاں تو منگایا انہوں نے پانی وضو کا پھر ڈالا اس کو اپنے ہاتھ پر اور دھویا دونوں ہاتھوں کو دو دو بار پھر کلی کی اور ناک میں پانی ڈالا تین بار پھر دونوں ہاتھ دھوئے کہینوں تک دو دو بار پھر مسح کیا سر کا دونوں ہاتھوں سے آگے سے لے گئے اور پیچھے سے لائے یعنی دونوں ہاتھوں سے مسح شروع کیا پیشانی سے گدی تک پھر لائے گدی سے پیشانی تک پھر دونوں پیر دھوئے ۔
