كتاب الطهارة
Nafe' a rapporté: «lorsque Abdallah Ibn Omar voulait faire une lotion à la suite d'un rapport charnel, il versait de l'eau sur sa main droite et la lavait puis se lavait la verge, puis se rinçait la bouche, puis aspirait de l'eau par ses narines et la rejetait, puis il se lavait le visage. Il aspergeait de l'eau sur ses yeux, se lavait la main droite puis la gauche, se lavait la tête, ensuite il se lavait tout le corps en répandant de l'eau»

وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، كَانَ إِذَا اغْتَسَلَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ بَدَأَ فَأَفْرَغَ عَلَى يَدِهِ الْيُمْنَى فَغَسَلَهَا ثُمَّ غَسَلَ فَرْجَهُ ثُمَّ مَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْثَرَ ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَنَضَحَ فِي عَيْنَيْهِ ثُمَّ غَسَلَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى ثُمَّ الْيُسْرَى ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رَأْسَهُ ثُمَّ اغْتَسَلَ وَأَفَاضَ عَلَيْهِ الْمَاءَ .
Traduction anglaise
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that when Abdullah ibn Umar used to do ghusl for major ritual impurity he would begin by pouring water on his right hand and washing it. Then, in order, he would wash his genitals, rinse his mouth, snuff water in and out of his nose, wash his face and splash his eyes with water. Then he would wash his right arm and then his left, and after that he would wash his head. He would finish by having a complete wash and pouring water all over himself

نافع سے روایت ہے کہ عبداللہ بن عمر جب غسل جنابت شروع کرتے تو پہلے اپنا داہنا ہاتھ پانی ڈال کر دھوتے پھر اپنی شرمگاہ دھوتے پھر کلی کرتے اور ناک میں پانی ڈالتے پھر منہ دھوتے اور آنکھوں کے اندر پانی مارتے پھر داہنا ہاتھ دھوتے پھر بایاں ہاتھ دھوتے پھر سارے بدن پر پانی ڈال کر غسل کرتے ۔ امام مالک کو پہنچا کہ عائشہ ام المومنین سے پوچھا گیا کس طرح غسل کرے عورت جنابت سے کہا کہ ڈالے اپنے سر پر تین چلو دونوں ہاتھوں سے بھر بھر کر اور ملے اپنے سر کر دونوں ہاتھوں سے ۔
