Hadith 2694 — Livre 13: The Book of Fasting
كتاب الصوم
Rapporté par Ibn 'Abbas رضي الله عنهما : Un homme est venu voir le Messager d’Allah ﷺ et a dit : « Messager d’Allah, ma mère est morte alors qu’elle devait un mois de jeûne (du Ramadan). Dois-je les accomplir pour elle ? » Le Prophète ﷺ répondit : « Si ta mère était morte en laissant une dette, ne l’aurais-tu pas payée ? » Il dit : « Oui. » Le Prophète ﷺ dit : « La dette envers Allah mérite encore plus d’être acquittée. »

وَحَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْوَكِيعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ الْبَطِينِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، - رضى الله عنهما - قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أُمِّي مَاتَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا صَوْمُ شَهْرٍ أَفَأَقْضِيهِ عَنْهَا فَقَالَ " لَوْ كَانَ عَلَى أُمِّكَ دَيْنٌ أَكُنْتَ قَاضِيَهُ عَنْهَا " . قَالَ نَعَمْ . قَالَ " فَدَيْنُ اللَّهِ أَحَقُّ أَنْ يُقْضَى " . قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ فَقَالَ الْحَكَمُ وَسَلَمَةُ بْنُ كُهَيْلٍ جَمِيعًا وَنَحْنُ جُلُوسٌ حِينَ حَدَّثَ مُسْلِمٌ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فَقَالاَ سَمِعْنَا مُجَاهِدًا يَذْكُرُ هَذَا عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ.
Traduction anglaise
Ibn 'Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) reported:A man came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: Messenger of Allah, my mother has died (in a state) that she had to observe fasts of a month (of Ramadan). Should I complete (them) on her behalf? thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Would you not pay the debt if your mother had died (without paying it)? He said: Yes. He (the Holy Prophet) said: The debt of Allah deserves more that it should he paid
Traduction en ourdou
۔ احمد بن عمر وکیعی ، حسین بن علی ، زائدہ ، سلیمان ، مسلم ، سعید بن جبیر ، حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک عورت آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں آئی اور اس نے عرض کیا اے اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ! میری ماں کا انتقال ہوگیا ہے اور اس پر ایک مہینے کے روزوں کی قضا لازم ہے ۔ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اگر تیری ما ں پر کوئی قرض ہوتا تو کیا تو وہ قرض اس کی طرف سے ادا کرتی؟عرض کیا کہ ہاں! آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اللہ کا قرض زیادہ اس کا حقدار ہے کہ اسے اداکیا جائے ۔
