Rapporté par Nafi` : `Abdullah a dit : « Le Prophète (ﷺ) a organisé une course de chevaux. Les chevaux préparés recevaient moins de nourriture pendant quelques jours avant la course pour augmenter leurs chances de gagner, et ils couraient de Al-Hafya à Thaniyat-al-Wada`. Les chevaux non préparés couraient entre Thaniyat-al-Wada` et la mosquée des Bani Zuraiq. » `Abdullah faisait partie de ceux qui ont participé à la course

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا جُوَيْرِيَةُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ سَابَقَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ، فَأُرْسِلَتِ الَّتِي ضُمِّرَتْ مِنْهَا وَأَمَدُهَا إِلَى الْحَفْيَاءِ إِلَى ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ، وَالَّتِي لَمْ تُضَمَّرْ أَمَدُهَا ثَنِيَّةُ الْوَدَاعِ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ، وَأَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ كَانَ فِيمَنْ سَابَقَ. حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Nafi`:`Abdullah said, "The Prophet (ﷺ) arranged for a horse race, and the prepared horses were given less food for a few days before the race to win the race, and were allowed to run from Al-Hafya to Thaniyat-al- Wada`, and the unprepared horses were allowed to run between Thaniyat-al-Wada` and the mosque of Bani Zuraiq," `Abdullah was one of those who participated in the race

ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے جویریہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے نافع نے اور ان سے عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے گھوڑوں کی دوڑ کرائی اور وہ گھوڑے چھوڑے گئے جو گھوڑ دوڑ کیلئے تیار کئے گئے تھے تو ان کے دوڑنے کا میدان مقام حفیاء سے ثنیۃ الوداع تک تھا اور جو تیار نہیں کئے گئے تھے ان کے دوڑنے کا میدان ثنیۃ الوداع سے مسجد بنی زریق تک تھا اور عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ بھی ان لوگوں میں تھے جنہوں نے مقابلے میں حصہ لیا تھا۔
