Hadith 7299 — Livre 96: Holding Fast to the Qur'an and Sunnah
كتاب الاعتصام بالكتاب والسنة
Rapporté par Abu Huraira : Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit à ses compagnons : « Ne pratiquez pas le jeûne continu (Al-Wisal). » Ils ont répondu : « Mais tu pratiques le jeûne continu. » Il a dit : « Je ne suis pas comme vous, car la nuit, mon Seigneur me nourrit et me donne à boire. » Mais les gens n’ont pas arrêté le jeûne continu, alors le Prophète (ﷺ) a jeûné avec eux deux jours ou deux nuits, puis ils ont vu le croissant de lune. Le Prophète (ﷺ) a alors dit : « Si le croissant avait tardé à apparaître, j’aurais continué à jeûner (à cause de vous), » comme s’il voulait leur montrer les limites parce qu’ils avaient refusé d’arrêter

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ تُوَاصِلُوا ". قَالُوا إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ. قَالَ " إِنِّي لَسْتُ مِثْلَكُمْ، إِنِّي أَبِيتُ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي ". فَلَمْ يَنْتَهُوا عَنِ الْوِصَالِ ـ قَالَ ـ فَوَاصَلَ بِهِمُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَيْنِ أَوْ لَيْلَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ رَأَوُا الْهِلاَلَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لَوْ تَأَخَّرَ الْهِلاَلُ لَزِدْتُكُمْ ". كَالْمُنَكِّلِ لَهُمْ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Huraira:The Prophet (ﷺ) said (to his companions), "Do not fast Al-Wisal." They said, "But you fast Al-Wisail." He said, "I am not like you, for at night my Lord feeds me and makes me drink." But the people did not give up Al-Wisal, so the Prophet (ﷺ) fasted Al-Wisal with them for two days or two nights, and then they saw the crescent whereupon the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If the crescent had delayed, I would have continued fasting (because of you)," as if he wanted to vanquish them completely (because they had refused to give up Al Wisal)
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے عبداللہ بن محمد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ہشام نے، کہا ہم کو معمر نے خبر دی، انہیں زہری نے، انہیں ابوسلمہ نے اور ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”تم صوم وصال ( افطار و سحر کے بغیر کئی دن کے روزے ) نہ رکھا کرو۔ صحابہ نے کہا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تو صوم وصال رکھتے ہیں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ میں تم جیسا نہیں ہوں۔ میں رات گزارتا ہوں اور میرا رب مجھے کھلاتا پلاتا ہے لیکن لوگ صوم وصال سے نہیں رکے۔ بیان کیا کہ پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کے ساتھ دو دن یا دو راتوں میں صوم وصال کیا، پھر لوگوں نے چاند دیکھ لیا تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اگر چاند نہ نظر آتا تو میں اور وصال کرتا، نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا مقصد انہیں سرزنش کرنا تھا۔
