كتاب الاعتصام بالكتاب والسنة
Rapporté par `Abdullah bin Dinar : `Abdullah Bin `Umar a écrit à `Abdul Malik bin Marwan pour lui prêter allégeance : « Je t’apporte mon allégeance en m’engageant à écouter et à obéir dans la mesure de mes capacités, tant que cela est conforme aux lois d’Allah et à la tradition de Son Messager. »

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، كَتَبَ إِلَى عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ يُبَايِعُهُ، وَأُقِرُّ لَكَ بِالسَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ عَلَى سُنَّةِ اللَّهِ وَسُنَّةِ رَسُولِهِ، فِيمَا اسْتَطَعْتُ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated `Abdullah bin Dinar:`Abdullah Bin `Umar wrote to `Abdul Malik bin Marwan, swearing allegiance to him: 'I swear allegiance to you in that I will listen and obey what is in accordance with the Laws of Allah and the Tradition of His Apostle as much as I can

ہم سے اسماعیل بن ابی اویس نے بیان کیا، کہا مجھ سے امام مالک نے بیان کیا، ان سے عبداللہ بن دینار نے کہ عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے عبدالملک بن مروان کو خط لکھا کہ وہ اس کی بیعت قبول کرتے ہیں اور یہ لکھا کہ میں تیرا حکم سنوں گا اور مانوں گا بشرطیکہ اللہ کی شریعت اور اس کے رسول کی سنت کے موافق ہو جہاں تک مجھ سے ممکن ہو گا۔
