Rapporté par Ibn `Abbas : Quand la délégation de `Abdul Qais est venue voir le Prophète, il a dit : « Soyez les bienvenus, ô délégation qui êtes venus ! Vous ne connaîtrez ni honte ni regret. » Ils dirent : « Ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) ! Nous sommes un groupe de la tribu d’Ar-Rabi`a, et entre toi et nous il y a la tribu de Mudar, et nous ne pouvons venir te voir que pendant les mois sacrés. Ordonne-nous donc de faire quelque chose de bien (des actes religieux) pour que nous puissions entrer au Paradis en les accomplissant, et aussi pour que nous puissions recommander cela à ceux de notre peuple qui sont restés chez nous. » Il dit : « Quatre choses et encore quatre : accomplissez correctement la prière, donnez la Zakat (aumône obligatoire), jeûnez le mois de Ramadan, et donnez un cinquième du butin (pour la cause d’Allah), et ne buvez pas dans des récipients appelés Ad-Duba’, Al-Hantam, An-Naqir et Al-Muzaffat. »

حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو التَّيَّاحِ، عَنْ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ لَمَّا قَدِمَ وَفْدُ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَرْحَبًا بِالْوَفْدِ الَّذِينَ جَاءُوا غَيْرَ خَزَايَا وَلاَ نَدَامَى ". فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا حَىٌّ مِنْ رَبِيعَةَ وَبَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكَ مُضَرُ، وَإِنَّا لاَ نَصِلُ إِلَيْكَ إِلاَّ فِي الشَّهْرِ الْحَرَامِ، فَمُرْنَا بِأَمْرٍ فَصْلٍ نَدْخُلُ بِهِ الْجَنَّةَ، وَنَدْعُو بِهِ مَنْ وَرَاءَنَا. فَقَالَ " أَرْبَعٌ وَأَرْبَعٌ أَقِيمُوا الصَّلاَةَ، وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ، وَصَوْمُ رَمَضَانَ، وَأَعْطُوا خُمُسَ مَا غَنِمْتُمْ، وَلاَ تَشْرَبُوا فِي الدُّبَّاءِ، وَالْحَنْتَمِ، وَالنَّقِيرِ، وَالْمُزَفَّتِ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Ibn `Abbas:When the delegation of `Abdul Qais came to the Prophet, he said, "Welcome, O the delegation who have come! Neither you will have disgrace, nor you will regret." They said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! We are a group from the tribe of Ar-Rabi`a, and between you and us there is the tribe of Mudar and we cannot come to you except in the sacred months. So please order us to do something good (religious deeds) so that we may enter Paradise by doing that, and also that we may order our people who are behind us (whom we have left behind at home) to follow it." He said, "Four and four:" offer prayers perfectly , pay the Zakat, (obligatory charity), fast the month of Ramadan, and give one-fifth of the war booty (in Allah's cause), and do not drink in (containers called) Ad-Duba,' Al-Hantam, An-Naqir and Al-Muzaffat

ہم سے عمران بن میسرہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے عبدالوارث نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابوالتیاح یزید بن حمید نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابوحمزہ نے اور ان سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ جب قبیلہ عبدالقیس کا وفد نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ مرحبا ان لوگوں کو جو آن پہنچے تو نہ وہ ذلیل ہوئے، نہ شرمندہ ( خوشی سے مسلمان ہو گئے ورنہ مارے جاتے شرمندہ ہوتے ) انہوں نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! ہم قبیلہ ربیع کی شاخ سے تعلق رکھتے ہیں اور چونکہ ہمارے اور آپ کے درمیان قبیلہ مضر کے کافر لوگ حائل ہیں اس لیے ہم آپ کی خدمت میں صرف حرمت والے مہینوں ہی میں حاضر ہو سکتے ہیں ( جن میں لوٹ کھسوٹ نہیں ہوتی ) آپ کچھ ایسی جچی تلی بات بتا دیں جس پر عمل کرنے سے ہم جنت میں داخل ہو جائیں اور جو لوگ نہیں آ سکے ہیں انہیں بھی اس کی دعوت پہنچائیں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ چار چار چیزیں ہیں۔ نماز قائم کرو، زکوٰۃ دو، رمضان کے روزے رکھو اور غنیمت کا پانچواں حصہ ( بیت المال کو ) ادا کرو اور دباء، حنتم، نقیر اور مزفت میں نہ پیو۔
