Rapporté par Jabala bin Suhaim : À l’époque d’Ibn Az-Zubair, nous avons connu la famine, et il nous donnait des dattes comme nourriture. `Abdullah bin `Umar passait près de nous pendant que nous mangions et disait : « Ne mangez pas deux dattes en même temps, car le Prophète (ﷺ) a interdit de prendre deux dattes à la fois (lorsqu’on est en groupe). » Ibn `Umar ajoutait : « Sauf si l’on a la permission de ses compagnons. »

حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا جَبَلَةُ بْنُ سُحَيْمٍ، قَالَ أَصَابَنَا عَامُ سَنَةٍ مَعَ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ فَرَزَقَنَا تَمْرًا، فَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ يَمُرُّ بِنَا وَنَحْنُ نَأْكُلُ وَيَقُولُ لاَ تُقَارِنُوا فَإِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنِ الْقِرَانِ. ثُمَّ يَقُولُ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَسْتَأْذِنَ الرَّجُلُ أَخَاهُ. قَالَ شُعْبَةُ الإِذْنُ مِنْ قَوْلِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Jabala bin Suhaim.:At the time of Ibn Az-Zubair, we were struck with famine, and he provided us with dates for our food. `Abdullah bin `Umar used to pass by us while we were eating, and say, "Do not eat two dates together at a time, for the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the taking of two dates together at a time (in a gathering)." Ibn `Umar used to add, "Unless one takes the permission of one's companions

ہم سے آدم نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے جبلہ بن سحیم نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہمیں عبداللہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہما کے ساتھ ( جب وہ حجاز کے خلیفہ تھے ) ایک سال قحط کا سامنا کرنا پڑا تو انہوں نے راشن میں ہمیں کھانے کے لیے کھجوریں دیں۔ عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما ہمارے پاس سے گزرتے اور ہم کھجور کھاتے ہوتے تو وہ فرماتے کہ دو کھجوروں کو ایک ساتھ ملا کر نہ کھاؤ کیونکہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دو کھجوروں کو ایک ساتھ ملا کر کھانے سے منع کیا ہے۔ پھر فرمایا سوا اس صورت کے جب اس کو کھانے والا شخص اپنے ساتھی سے ( جو کھانے میں شریک ہے ) اس کی اجازت لے لے۔ شعبہ نے بیان کیا کہ اجازت والا ٹکڑا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کا قول ہے۔
