Rapporté par Abu `Uthman : J’ai été l’invité d’Abu Huraira pendant sept jours. Abu Huraira, sa femme et son esclave se levaient et restaient éveillés chacun leur tour pendant un tiers de la nuit. Chacun faisait la prière de la nuit puis réveillait l’autre. J’ai entendu Abu Huraira dire : « Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a distribué des dattes à ses compagnons et ma part était de sept dattes, dont une était une Hashafa (une datte séchée sur l’arbre avant d’être mûre). »

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبَّاسٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ تَضَيَّفْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ سَبْعًا، فَكَانَ هُوَ وَامْرَأَتُهُ وَخَادِمُهُ يَعْتَقِبُونَ اللَّيْلَ أَثْلاَثًا، يُصَلِّي هَذَا، ثُمَّ يُوقِظُ هَذَا. وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَيْنِ أَصْحَابِهِ تَمْرًا، فَأَصَابَنِي سَبْعُ تَمَرَاتٍ إِحْدَاهُنَّ حَشَفَةٌ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu `Uthman:I was a guest of Abu Huraira for seven days. Abu Huraira, his wife and his slave used to get up and remain awake for one-third of the night by turns. Each would offer the night prayer and then awaken the other. I heard Abu Huraira saying, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) distributed dates among his companions and my share was seven dates, one of which was a Hashafa (a date which dried on the tree before it was fully ripe)

ہم سے مسدد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے حماد بن یزید نے بیان کیا، ان سے عباس جریری نے اور ان سے ابوعثمان نے بیان کیا کہ میں ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے یہاں سات دن تک مہمان رہا، وہ اور ان کی بیوی اور ان کے خادم نے رات میں ( جاگنے کی ) باری مقرر کر رکھی تھی۔ رات کے ایک تہائی حصہ میں ایک صاحب نماز پڑھتے رہے پھر وہ دوسرے کو جگا دیتے اور میں نے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو یہ کہتے سنا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے صحابہ میں ایک مرتبہ کھجور تقسیم کی اور مجھے بھی سات کھجوریں دیں، ایک ان میں خراب تھی۔
