كتاب النكاح
Rapporté par `Abdullah bin Masud : Le Prophète a dit : « Personne n'a un plus grand sens de la jalousie qu'Allah. C'est pourquoi Il a interdit les mauvaises actions (comme les relations sexuelles illégales, etc.). Personne n'aime être loué autant qu'Allah. »

Texte arabe original
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ أَغْيَرُ مِنَ اللَّهِ، مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ حَرَّمَ الْفَوَاحِشَ، وَمَا أَحَدٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ الْمَدْحُ مِنَ اللَّهِ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated `Abdullah bin Masud:The Prophet, said, "There is none having a greater sense of Ghira than Allah. And for that He has forbidden the doing of evil actions (illegal sexual intercourse etc.) There is none who likes to be praised more than Allah does

ہم سے عمر بن حفص بن غیاث نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ہمارے والد نے بیان کیا، ان سے اعمش نے بیان کیا، ان سے شقیق نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ سے زیادہ غیرت مند اور کوئی نہیں ہے۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ اس نے بےحیائی کے کاموں کو حرام کیا ہے اور اللہ سے بڑھ کر کوئی اپنی تعریف پسند کرنے والا نہیں ہے۔
