Rapporté par `Aïcha : Qu’Allah fasse miséricorde aux premières femmes émigrantes. Quand Allah a révélé : « … et qu’elles rabattent leurs voiles sur leurs poitrines… » (24:31), elles ont déchiré leurs robes en laine ou leurs ceintures pour couvrir leur tête et leur visage avec ces morceaux de tissu

وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ يُونُسَ، قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ قَالَتْ يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ نِسَاءَ الْمُهَاجِرَاتِ الأُوَلَ، لَمَّا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ {وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ} شَقَّقْنَ مُرُوطَهُنَّ فَاخْتَمَرْنَ بِها.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated `Aishah:May Allah bestow His Mercy on the early emigrant women. When Allah revealed: "... and to draw their veils all over their Juyubihinna (i.e., their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)..." (V.24:31) they tore their Murut (woolen dresses or waist-binding clothes or aprons etc.) and covered their heads and faces with those torn Muruts

اور احمد بن شبیب نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ہمارے والد شبیب بن سعید نے بیان کیا، ان سے یونس بن یزید نے، ان سے ابن شہاب نے بیان کیا، ان سے عروہ نے اور ان سے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ اللہ ان عورتوں پر رحم کرے جنہوں نے پہلی ہجرت کی تھی۔ جب اللہ تعالیٰ نے آیت «وليضربن بخمرهن على جيوبهن» ”اور اپنے دوپٹے اپنے سینوں پر ڈالے رہا کریں۔“ ( تاکہ سینہ اور گلا وغیرہ نہ نظر آئے ) نازل کی، تو انہوں نے اپنی چادروں کو پھاڑ کر ان کے دوپٹے بنا لیے۔
