Rapporté par Anas bin Malik : Parmi tous les Ansar vivant à Médine, Abu Talha possédait le plus grand nombre de jardins de palmiers, et le bien qu’il aimait le plus était le jardin Bairuha, situé en face de la Mosquée du Prophète. Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) y entrait et buvait de sa bonne eau. Quand le verset fut révélé : « Vous n’atteindrez la piété que lorsque vous donnerez de ce que vous aimez » (3.92), Abu Talha se leva et dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ), Allah dit : ‘Vous n’atteindrez la piété que lorsque vous donnerez de ce que vous aimez’, et le bien que j’aime le plus est le jardin Bairuha, alors je le donne en aumône pour la cause d’Allah, en espérant une récompense et qu’il soit gardé pour moi auprès d’Allah. Ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ), dispose-en comme Allah te l’ordonne. » Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) dit : « Bravo ! Voilà un bien fructueux ! Voilà un bien fructueux ! J’ai entendu ce que tu as dit et je pense que tu devrais le distribuer à tes proches. » Abu Talha a alors partagé ce jardin entre ses proches et ses cousins. Rapporté par Yahya bin Yahya : J’ai appris de Malik : « …un bien fructueux. »

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ يَقُولُ كَانَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ أَكْثَرَ أَنْصَارِيٍّ بِالْمَدِينَةِ نَخْلاً، وَكَانَ أَحَبَّ أَمْوَالِهِ إِلَيْهِ بَيْرُحَاءٍ، وَكَانَتْ مُسْتَقْبِلَةَ الْمَسْجِدِ، وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَدْخُلُهَا وَيَشْرَبُ مِنْ مَاءٍ فِيهَا طَيِّبٍ، فَلَمَّا أُنْزِلَتْ {لَنْ تَنَالُوا الْبِرَّ حَتَّى تُنْفِقُوا مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ} قَامَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَقُولُ {لَنْ تَنَالُوا الْبِرَّ حَتَّى تُنْفِقُوا مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ} وَإِنَّ أَحَبَّ أَمْوَالِي إِلَىَّ بَيْرُحَاءٍ وَإِنَّهَا صَدَقَةٌ لِلَّهِ، أَرْجُو بِرَّهَا وَذُخْرَهَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ، فَضَعْهَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ حَيْثُ أَرَاكَ اللَّهُ. قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " بَخْ، ذَلِكَ مَالٌ رَايِحٌ، ذَلِكَ مَالٌ رَايِحٌ، وَقَدْ سَمِعْتُ مَا قُلْتَ، وَإِنِّي أَرَى أَنْ تَجْعَلَهَا فِي الأَقْرَبِينَ ". قَالَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ أَفْعَلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ. فَقَسَمَهَا أَبُو طَلْحَةَ فِي أَقَارِبِهِ وَبَنِي عَمِّهِ. قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ وَرَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ " ذَلِكَ مَالٌ رَابِحٌ ". حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ " مَالٌ رَايِحٌ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Anas bin Malik:Out of all the Ansar, living in Medina, Abu Talha had the largest number of (date palm trees) gardens, and the most beloved of his property to him was Bairuha garden which was standing opposite the Mosque (of the Prophet). Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to enter it and drink of its good water. When the Verse was revealed:--"By no means shall you attain righteousness unless you spend (in charity) of that which you love." (3.92) Abu Talha got up and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), Allah says:--"By no means shall you attain righteousness unless you spend (in charity) of that which you love." (3.92) and the most beloved of my property to me is the Bairuha garden, so I give it (as a charitable gift) in Allah's Cause and hope to receive good out of it, and to have it stored for me with Allah. So, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Dispose it of (i.e. utilize it) in the way Allah orders you (to dispose it of)." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Bravo! That is a fruitful property! That is a fruitful property! I have heard what you have said and I think that you should distribute that (garden) amongst your relatives." Then Abu Talha distributed that garden amongst his relatives and his cousins. Narrated Yahya bin Yahya: I learnt from Malik, "..a fruitful property

ہم سے اسماعیل بن ابی اویس نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ مجھ سے امام مالک نے بیان کیا، ان سے اسحاق بن عبداللہ بن ابی طلحہ نے، انہوں نے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ مدینہ میں ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس انصار میں سب سے زیادہ کھجوروں کے درخت تھے اور بیرحاء کا باغ اپنی تمام جائیداد میں انہیں سب سے زیادہ عزیز تھا۔ یہ باغ مسجد نبوی کے سامنے ہی تھا اور نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بھی اس میں تشریف لے جاتے اور اس کے میٹھے اور عمدہ پانی کو پیتے، پھر جب آیت «لن تنالوا البر حتى تنفقوا مما تحبون» ”جب تک تم اپنی عزیز ترین چیزوں کو نہ خرچ کرو گے نیکی کے مرتبہ کو نہ پہنچ سکو گے۔“ نازل ہوئی تو ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ اٹھے اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے کہ جب تک تم اپنی عزیز چیزوں کو خرچ نہ کرو گے نیکی کے مرتبہ کو نہ پہنچ سکو گے اور میرا سب سے زیادہ عزیز مال بیرحاء ہے اور یہ اللہ کی راہ میں صدقہ ہے۔ اللہ ہی سے میں اس کے ثواب و اجر کی توقع رکھتا ہوں، پس یا رسول اللہ! جہاں آپ مناسب سمجھیں اسے استعمال کریں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ خوب یہ فانی ہی دولت تھی، یہ فانی ہی دولت تھی۔ جو کچھ تم نے کہا ہے وہ میں نے سن لیا اور میرا خیال ہے کہ تم اپنے عزیز و اقرباء کو اسے دے دو۔ ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ میں ایسا ہی کروں گا، یا رسول اللہ! چنانچہ انہوں نے وہ باغ اپنے عزیزوں اور اپنے ناطہٰ والوں میں بانٹ دیا۔ عبداللہ بن یوسف اور روح بن عبادہ نے «ذلك مال رايح» ( «ربح» سے ) بیان کیا ہے۔ یعنی یہ مال بہت نفع دینے والا ہے۔ مجھ سے یحییٰ بن یحییٰ نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ میں نے امام مالک کے سامنے «مال رايح» ( «رواح» سے ) پڑھا تھا۔
