Rapporté par Jabir bin `Abdullah : Nous avons participé à l'expédition de Najd avec le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) et lorsque l'heure de la sieste est arrivée alors qu'il était dans une vallée pleine d'arbres épineux, il est descendu sous un arbre et s'est reposé à l'ombre, accrochant son épée à l'arbre. Les gens se sont dispersés sous les arbres pour trouver de l'ombre. Pendant que nous étions dans cet état, le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) nous a appelés et nous sommes venus et avons trouvé un bédouin assis devant lui. Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Ce bédouin est venu vers moi pendant que je dormais et il a pris mon épée discrètement. Je me suis réveillé alors qu'il se tenait près de ma tête, tenant mon épée sans son fourreau. Il a dit : ‘Qui te sauvera de moi ?’ J'ai répondu : ‘Allah.’ Alors il a remis l'épée dans son fourreau et s'est assis, et le voilà. » Mais le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) ne l'a pas puni

حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ غَزَوْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم غَزْوَةَ نَجْدٍ، فَلَمَّا أَدْرَكَتْهُ الْقَائِلَةُ وَهْوَ فِي وَادٍ كَثِيرِ الْعِضَاهِ، فَنَزَلَ تَحْتَ شَجَرَةٍ وَاسْتَظَلَّ بِهَا وَعَلَّقَ سَيْفَهُ، فَتَفَرَّقَ النَّاسُ فِي الشَّجَرِ يَسْتَظِلُّونَ، وَبَيْنَا نَحْنُ كَذَلِكَ إِذْ دَعَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَجِئْنَا، فَإِذَا أَعْرَابِيٌّ قَاعِدٌ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، فَقَالَ " إِنَّ هَذَا أَتَانِي وَأَنَا نَائِمٌ، فَاخْتَرَطَ سَيْفِي فَاسْتَيْقَظْتُ، وَهْوَ قَائِمٌ عَلَى رَأْسِي، مُخْتَرِطٌ صَلْتًا، قَالَ مَنْ يَمْنَعُكَ مِنِّي قُلْتُ اللَّهُ. فَشَامَهُ، ثُمَّ قَعَدَ، فَهْوَ هَذَا ". قَالَ وَلَمْ يُعَاقِبْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah:We took part in the Ghazwa of Najd along with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and when the time for the afternoon rest approached while he was in a valley with plenty of thorny trees, he dismounted under a tree and rested in its shade and hung his sword (on it). The people dispersed amongst the trees in order to have shade. While we were in this state, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) called us and we came and found a bedouin sitting in front of him. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "This (Bedouin) came to me while I was asleep, and he took my sword stealthily. I woke up while he was standing by my head, holding my sword without its sheath. He said, 'Who will save you from me?' I replied, 'Allah.' So he sheathed it (i.e. the sword) and sat down, and here he is." But Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) did not punish him

ہم سے محمود بن غیلان نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے عبدالرزاق نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم کو معمر نے خبر دی ‘ انہیں زہری نے ‘ انہیں ابوسلمہ نے اور ان سے جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ ہم نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ نجد کی طرف غزوہ کے لیے گئے۔ دوپہر کا وقت ہوا تو آپ ایک جنگل میں پہنچے جہاں ببول کے درخت بہت تھے۔ آپ نے گھنے درخت کے نیچے سایہ کے لیے قیام کیا اور درخت سے اپنی تلوار ٹکا دی۔ صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہم بھی درختوں کے نیچے سایہ حاصل کرنے کے لیے پھیل گئے۔ ابھی ہم اسی کیفیت میں تھے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں پکارا۔ ہم حاضر ہوئے تو ایک بدوی آپ کے سامنے بیٹھا ہوا تھا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ یہ شخص میرے پاس آیا تو میں سو رہا تھا۔ اتنے میں اس نے میری تلوار کھینچ لی اور میں بھی بیدار ہو گیا۔ یہ میری ننگی تلوار کھینچے ہوئے میرے سر پر کھڑا تھا۔ مجھ سے کہنے لگا آج مجھ سے تمہیں کون بچائے گا؟ میں نے کہا کہ اللہ! ( وہ شخص صرف ایک لفظ سے اتنا مرعوب ہوا کہ ) تلوار کو نیام میں رکھ کر بیٹھ گیا اور دیکھ لو۔ یہ بیٹھا ہوا ہے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے کوئی سزا نہیں دی۔
