Rapporté par Abu Talha (ra) : Je faisais partie de ceux qui ont été pris de somnolence au point que mon épée est tombée de ma main à plusieurs reprises. L’épée tombait et je la ramassais, puis elle retombait, et je la ramassais encore

Texte arabe original
وَقَالَ لِي خَلِيفَةُ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ كُنْتُ فِيمَنْ تَغَشَّاهُ النُّعَاسُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ، حَتَّى سَقَطَ سَيْفِي مِنْ يَدِي مِرَارًا، يَسْقُطُ وَآخُذُهُ، وَيَسْقُطُ فَآخُذُهُ.
Traduction anglaise
Abu Talha (ra) said:I was amongst those who were overtaken by slumber until my sword fell from my hand on several occasions. The sword fell and I picked it up, and it fell again, and I picked it up

اور مجھ سے خلیفہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے یزید بن زریع نے بیان کیا، ان سے سعید نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے قتادہ سے سنا اور ان سے انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے اور ان سے ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ میں ان لوگوں میں تھا جنہیں غزوہ احد کے موقع پر اونگھ نے آ گھیرا تھا اور اسی حالت میں میری تلوار کئی مرتبہ ( ہاتھ سے چھوٹ کر بے اختیار ) گر پڑی تھی۔ میں اسے اٹھا لیتا، پھر گر جاتی اور میں اسے پھر اٹھا لیتا۔
