كتاب فضائل أصحاب النبي ﷺ
Rapporté par Aiyub : Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Si j’avais dû prendre un ami intime, j’aurais choisi Abou Bakr comme ami intime, mais la fraternité en Islam est meilleure. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُعَلَّى، وَمُوسَى، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، وَقَالَ، " لَوْ كُنْتُ مُتَّخِذًا خَلِيلاً لاَتَّخَذْتُهُ خَلِيلاً، وَلَكِنْ أُخُوَّةُ الإِسْلاَمِ أَفْضَلُ ". حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، مِثْلَهُ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Aiyub:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If I were to take a Khalil, I would have taken him (i.e. Abu Bakr) as a Khalil, but the Islamic brotherhood is better

ہم سے معلیٰ بن اسد اور موسیٰ نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے وہیب نے بیان کیا، ان سے ایوب نے ( یہی روایت ) کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اگر میں کسی کو جانی دوست بنا سکتا تو ابوبکر کو بناتا۔ لیکن اسلام کا بھائی چارہ کیا کم ہے۔ ہم سے قتیبہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے عبدالوہاب نے اور ان سے ایوب نے ایسی ہی حدیث بیان کی۔
