كتاب الإجارة
Rapporté par Abu Musa : Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : L’exemple des musulmans, des juifs et des chrétiens ressemble à celui d’un homme qui a embauché des ouvriers pour travailler toute la journée contre un salaire précis. Ils ont travaillé jusqu’à midi puis ont dit : « Nous n’avons pas besoin de ton argent, annule ce que nous avons fait. » L’homme leur a dit : « Ne partez pas, terminez le travail et prenez votre salaire complet. » Mais ils ont refusé et sont partis. Il a alors embauché un autre groupe pour finir la journée, en leur promettant le même salaire. Ils ont travaillé jusqu’à l’heure de la prière de ‘Asr, puis ont dit : « Annule ce que nous avons fait et garde ton salaire. » L’homme leur a dit : « Terminez le reste du travail, il ne reste qu’un peu de temps. » Mais ils ont refusé. Ensuite, il a embauché un troisième groupe pour finir la journée. Ils ont travaillé jusqu’au coucher du soleil et ont reçu le salaire des deux groupes précédents. Voilà l’exemple de ces gens (les musulmans) et de cette lumière (la guidance) qu’ils ont acceptée de bon cœur

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ بُرَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَثَلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَالْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ اسْتَأْجَرَ قَوْمًا يَعْمَلُونَ لَهُ عَمَلاً يَوْمًا إِلَى اللَّيْلِ عَلَى أَجْرٍ مَعْلُومٍ، فَعَمِلُوا لَهُ إِلَى نِصْفِ النَّهَارِ فَقَالُوا لاَ حَاجَةَ لَنَا إِلَى أَجْرِكَ الَّذِي شَرَطْتَ لَنَا، وَمَا عَمِلْنَا بَاطِلٌ، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ لاَ تَفْعَلُوا أَكْمِلُوا بَقِيَّةَ عَمَلِكُمْ، وَخُذُوا أَجْرَكُمْ كَامِلاً، فَأَبَوْا وَتَرَكُوا، وَاسْتَأْجَرَ أَجِيرَيْنِ بَعْدَهُمْ فَقَالَ لَهُمَا أَكْمِلاَ بَقِيَّةَ يَوْمِكُمَا هَذَا، وَلَكُمَا الَّذِي شَرَطْتُ لَهُمْ مِنَ الأَجْرِ. فَعَمِلُوا حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ حِينُ صَلاَةِ الْعَصْرِ قَالاَ لَكَ مَا عَمِلْنَا بَاطِلٌ، وَلَكَ الأَجْرُ الَّذِي جَعَلْتَ لَنَا فِيهِ. فَقَالَ لَهُمَا أَكْمِلاَ بَقِيَّةَ عَمَلِكُمَا، فَإِنَّ مَا بَقِيَ مِنَ النَّهَارِ شَىْءٌ يَسِيرٌ. فَأَبَيَا، وَاسْتَأْجَرَ قَوْمًا أَنْ يَعْمَلُوا لَهُ بَقِيَّةَ يَوْمِهِمْ، فَعَمِلُوا بَقِيَّةَ يَوْمِهِمْ حَتَّى غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ، وَاسْتَكْمَلُوا أَجْرَ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ كِلَيْهِمَا، فَذَلِكَ مَثَلُهُمْ وَمَثَلُ مَا قَبِلُوا مِنْ هَذَا النُّورِ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Musa:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The example of Muslims, Jews and Christians is like the example of a man who employed laborers to work for him from morning till night for specific wages. They worked till midday and then said, 'We do not need your money which you have fixed for us and let whatever we have done be annulled.' The man said to them, 'Don't quit the work, but complete the rest of it and take your full wages.' But they refused and went away. The man employed another batch after them and said to them, 'Complete the rest of the day and yours will be the wages I had fixed for the first batch.' So, they worked till the time of `Asr prayer. Then they said, "Let what we have done be annulled and keep the wages you have promised us for yourself.' The man said to them, 'Complete the rest of the work, as only a little of the day remains,' but they refused. Thereafter he employed another batch to work for the rest of the day and they worked for the rest of the day till the sunset, and they received the wages of the two former batches. So, that was the example of those people (Muslims) and the example of this light (guidance) which they have accepted willingly

ہم سے محمد بن علاء نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے ابواسامہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے یزید بن عبداللہ نے، ان سے ابوبردہ نے اور ان سے ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، مسلمانوں کی اور یہود و نصاریٰ کی مثال ایسی ہے کہ ایک شخص نے چند آدمیوں کو مزدور کیا کہ یہ سب اس کا ایک کام صبح سے رات تک مقررہ اجرت پر کریں۔ چنانچہ کچھ لوگوں نے یہ کام دوپہر تک کیا۔ پھر کہنے لگے کہ ہمیں تمہاری اس مزدوری کی ضرورت نہیں ہے جو تم نے ہم سے طے کی ہے بلکہ جو کام ہم نے کر دیا وہ بھی غلط رہا۔ اس پر اس شخص نے کہا کہ ایسا نہ کرو۔ اپنا کام پورا کر لو اور اپنی پوری مزدوری لے جاؤ، لیکن انہوں نے انکار کر دیا اور کام چھوڑ کر چلے گئے۔ آخر اس نے دوسرے مزدور لگائے اور ان سے کہا کہ باقی دن پورا کر لو تو میں تمہیں وہی مزدوری دوں گا جو پہلے مزدوروں سے طے کی تھی۔ چنانچہ انہوں نے کام شروع کیا، لیکن عصر کی نماز کا وقت آیا تو انہوں نے بھی یہی کیا کہ ہم نے جو تمہارا کام کر دیا ہے وہ بالکل بیکار رہا۔ وہ مزدوری بھی تم اپنے ہی پاس رکھو جو تم نے ہم سے طے کی تھی۔ اس شخص نے ان کو سمجھایا کہ اپنا باقی کام پورا کر لو۔ دن بھی اب تھوڑا ہی باقی رہ گیا ہے، لیکن وہ نہ مانے، آخر اس شخص نے دوسرے مزدور لگائے کہ یہ دن کا جو حصہ باقی رہ گیا ہے اس میں یہ کام کر دیں۔ چنانچہ ان لوگوں نے سورج غروب ہونے تک دن کے بقیہ حصہ میں کام پورا کیا اور پہلے اور دوسرے مزدوروں کی مزدوری بھی سب ان ہی کو ملی۔ تو مسلمانوں کی اور اس نور کی جس کو انہوں نے قبول کیا، یہی مثال ہے۔
