كتاب الأذان
Rapporté par Abu Salama : Un jour, je suis allé voir Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri et je lui ai demandé : « Veux-tu venir avec nous sous les palmiers pour discuter ? » Abu Sa`id est sorti et je lui ai demandé : « Dis-moi ce que tu as entendu du Prophète (ﷺ) au sujet de la Nuit du Destin. » Abu Sa`id répondit : « Une fois, le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a fait l’I`tikaf (retraite spirituelle) pendant les dix premiers jours du Ramadan et nous avons fait de même avec lui. Gabriel est venu lui dire : ‘La nuit que tu cherches est devant toi.’ Le Prophète (ﷺ) a alors fait l’I`tikaf pendant les dix jours du milieu du Ramadan, et nous aussi. Gabriel est revenu lui dire : ‘La nuit que tu cherches est devant toi.’ Le matin du 20 Ramadan, le Prophète (ﷺ) fit un sermon : ‘Celui qui a fait l’I`tikaf avec moi doit continuer. J’ai vu la Nuit du Destin, mais j’en ai oublié la date, elle se trouve dans les nuits impaires des dix dernières nuits. J’ai vu en rêve que je me prosternais dans la boue et l’eau.’ À cette époque, le toit de la mosquée était fait de branches de palmier. Le ciel était clair, sans nuage, puis soudain un nuage est venu et il a plu. Le Prophète (ﷺ) nous a dirigés dans la prière et j’ai vu de la boue sur le front et le nez du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ). Cela confirmait le rêve. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ انْطَلَقْتُ إِلَى أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ فَقُلْتُ أَلاَ تَخْرُجُ بِنَا إِلَى النَّخْلِ نَتَحَدَّثْ فَخَرَجَ. فَقَالَ قُلْتُ حَدِّثْنِي مَا، سَمِعْتَ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ، صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ. قَالَ اعْتَكَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَشْرَ الأُوَلِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، وَاعْتَكَفْنَا مَعَهُ، فَأَتَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الَّذِي تَطْلُبُ أَمَامَكَ. فَاعْتَكَفَ الْعَشْرَ الأَوْسَطَ، فَاعْتَكَفْنَا مَعَهُ، فَأَتَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الَّذِي تَطْلُبُ أَمَامَكَ. فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَطِيبًا صَبِيحَةَ عِشْرِينَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فَقَالَ " مَنْ كَانَ اعْتَكَفَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَلْيَرْجِعْ، فَإِنِّي أُرِيتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ، وَإِنِّي نُسِّيتُهَا، وَإِنَّهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ فِي وِتْرٍ، وَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ كَأَنِّي أَسْجُدُ فِي طِينٍ وَمَاءٍ ". وَكَانَ سَقْفُ الْمَسْجِدِ جَرِيدَ النَّخْلِ وَمَا نَرَى فِي السَّمَاءِ شَيْئًا، فَجَاءَتْ قَزْعَةٌ فَأُمْطِرْنَا، فَصَلَّى بِنَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ أَثَرَ الطِّينِ وَالْمَاءِ عَلَى جَبْهَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَرْنَبَتِهِ تَصْدِيقَ رُؤْيَاهُ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Salama:Once I went to Abu- Sa`id Al-Khudri and asked him, "Won't you come with us to the date-palm trees to have a talk?" So Abu Sa`id went out and I asked him, "Tell me what you heard from the Prophet (ﷺ) about the Night of Qadr." Abu Sa`id replied, "Once Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) performed I`tikaf (seclusion) on the first ten days of the month of Ramadan and we did the same with him. Gabriel came to him and said, 'The night you are looking for is ahead of you.' So the Prophet (ﷺ) performed the I`tikaf in the middle (second) ten days of the month of Ramadan and we too performed I`tikaf with him. Gabriel came to him and said, 'The night which you are looking for is ahead of you.' In the morning of the 20th of Ramadan the Prophet (ﷺ) delivered a sermon saying, 'Whoever has performed I`tikaf with me should continue it. I have been shown the Night of "Qadr", but have forgotten its date, but it is in the odd nights of the last ten nights. I saw in my dream that I was prostrating in mud and water.' In those days the roof of the mosque was made of branches of date-palm trees. At that time the sky was clear and no cloud was visible, but suddenly a cloud came and it rained. The Prophet (ﷺ) led us in the prayer and I saw the traces of mud on the forehead and on the nose of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). So it was the confirmation of that dream

ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے ہمام بن یحییٰ نے یحییٰ بن ابی کثیر سے بیان کیا، انہوں نے ابوسلمہ بن عبدالرحمٰن سے، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ میں ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا۔ میں نے عرض کی کہ فلاں نخلستان میں کیوں نہ چلیں سیر بھی کریں گے اور کچھ باتیں بھی کریں گے۔ چنانچہ آپ تشریف لے چلے۔ ابوسلمہ نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے راہ میں کہا کہ شب قدر سے متعلق آپ نے اگر کچھ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا ہے تو اسے بیان کیجئے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے رمضان کے پہلے عشرے میں اعتکاف کیا اور ہم بھی آپ کے ساتھ اعتکاف میں بیٹھ گئے، لیکن جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے آ کر بتایا کہ آپ جس کی تلاش میں ہیں ( شب قدر ) وہ آگے ہے۔ چنانچہ آپ نے دوسرے عشرے میں بھی اعتکاف کیا اور آپ کے ساتھ ہم نے بھی۔ جبرائیل علیہ السلام دوبارہ آئے اور فرمایا کہ آپ جس کی تلاش میں ہیں وہ ( رات ) آگے ہے۔ پھر آپ نے بیسویں رمضان کی صبح کو خطبہ دیا۔ آپ نے فرمایا کہ جس نے میرے ساتھ اعتکاف کیا ہو وہ دوبارہ کرے۔ کیونکہ شب قدر مجھے معلوم ہو گئی لیکن میں بھول گیا اور وہ آخری عشرہ کی طاق راتوں میں ہے اور میں نے خود کو کیچڑ میں سجدہ کرتے دیکھا۔ مسجد کی چھت کھجور کی ڈالیوں کی تھی۔ مطلع بالکل صاف تھا کہ اتنے میں ایک پتلا سا بادل کا ٹکڑا آیا اور برسنے لگا۔ پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہم کو نماز پڑھائی اور میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی پیشانی اور ناک پر کیچڑ کا اثر دیکھا۔ آپ کا خواب سچا ہو گیا۔
