Hadith 607 — Livre 2: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat)
كتاب الصلاة
Rapporté par Husain, d’après les enfants de Sa’d ibn Mu’adh : Usaid ibn Hudair dirigeait la prière pour eux. Lorsqu’il est tombé malade, le Messager d’Allah ﷺ est venu s’enquérir de sa santé. Ils ont dit : « Messager d’Allah, notre imam est malade. » Il a dit : « Quand il prie assis, priez assis. » Abu Dawud a précisé : La chaîne de transmission de ce récit n’est pas continue (muttasil)

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا زَيْدٌ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْحُبَابِ - عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي حُصَيْنٌ، مِنْ وَلَدِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ عَنْ أُسَيْدِ بْنِ حُضَيْرٍ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَؤُمُّهُمْ - قَالَ - فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَعُودُهُ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ إِمَامَنَا مَرِيضٌ . فَقَالَ " إِذَا صَلَّى قَاعِدًا فَصَلُّوا قُعُودًا " . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ هذا الْحَدِيثُ لَيْسَ بِمُتَّصِلٍ .
Traduction anglaise
Husain reported on the authority of the children of Sa’d b. Mu’adh that Usaid b. Hudair used to act as their Imam. (when he fell ill) the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to him inquiring about his illness. They said:Messenger of Allah, our Imam is ill. He said : When he prays sitting, pray sitting. Abu Dawud said : The chain of this tradition is not continuous (muttasil)

اسید بن حضیر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ وہ اپنی قوم کی امامت کرتے تھے، وہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک بار رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ان کی عیادت کے لیے تشریف لائے، تو لوگ کہنے لگے: اللہ کے رسول! ہمارے امام بیمار ہیں، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب امام بیٹھ کر نماز پڑھے تو تم لوگ بھی بیٹھ کر پڑھو ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث متصل نہیں ہے۔
