كتاب الذكر والدعاء والتوبة والاستغفار
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْهُدَى وَالتُّقَى وَالْعَفَافَ وَالْغِنَى " .

Abdullah reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to supplicate (in these words):" O Allah. I beg of Thee the right guidance, safeguard against evils, chastity and freedom from want

محمد بن مثنیٰ اور محمد بن بشار نے کہا : ہمیں محمد بن جعفر نے حدیث بیان کی ، انہوں نے کہا : ہمیں شعبہ نے ابواسحٰق سے حدیث سنائی ، انہوں نے ابواحوص سے ، انہوں نے حضرت عبداللہ ( بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ ) سے اور انہوں نے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کی کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فرمایا کرتے تھے : " اے اللہ! میں تجھ سے ہدایت ، تقویٰ ، پاک دامنی ، اور ( دل کا ) غنا مانگتا ہوں ۔
