كتاب إقامة الصلاة والسنن فيها
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ بَرَكَةَ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ اسْتَسْقَى حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ - أَوْ رُؤِيَ - بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ . قَالَ مُعْتَمِرٌ أُرَاهُ فِي الاِسْتِسْقَاءِ .

Mu’tamir narrated from his father, from Barakah, from Bashir bin Nahik, from Abu Hurairah:“The Prophet (ﷺ) supplicated for rain (raising his hands) until I saw or one could see the whiteness of his armpits.”

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بارش کی دعا مانگی یہاں تک کہ میں نے آپ کی بغل کی سفیدی دیکھی، یا یوں کہا کہ یہاں تک کہ آپ کی بغل کی سفیدی دکھائی دی۔ معتمر کہتے ہیں: میرا خیال ہے کہ یہ استسقاء کے بارے میں ہے۔
