كتاب تفسير النبي ﷺ
حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَشْهَبِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْجَوْزَاءِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، رضى الله عنهما فِي قَوْلِهِ {اللاَّتَ وَالْعُزَّى} كَانَ الَّلاَتُ رَجُلاً يَلُتُّ سَوِيقَ الْحَاجِّ.

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:(regarding His Statement about the Lat and the `Uzza: Lat was originally a man who used to mix Sawiq for the pilgrim)

ہم سے مسلم بن ابراہیم فراہیدی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ابوالاشھب جعفر بن حیان نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے ابوالجوزاء نے بیان کیا اور ان سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے لات اور عزیٰ کے حال میں کہا کہ لات ایک شخص کو کہتے تھے وہ حاجیوں کے لیے ستو گھولتا تھا۔
