Allah created Adam, peace be upon him, from clay and breathed into him from His spirit. The angels all bowed. Allah taught Adam the names of everything. He was the first human and the first prophet.
Allah placed Adam and his wife in the garden and said: eat from wherever you wish, but do not approach this one tree. Then Satan whispered to them and tried to drive them out, so they ate a little from it, and they felt deep regret.
They said: Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves. Allah accepted their repentance and sent them down to the earth to live and build, and He promised guidance to whoever follows it.
And, O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in the Garden and eat freely from wherever you wish, but do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers.
