Ali ibn Isa al-Kahhal

Author of the Memorandum for Oculists, the most famous book in eye medicine for six centuries, translated into Latin, Hebrew and Greek. He described cataract operations with silver suction tubes and classified eye diseases with a rigorous method whose terminology is still the basis of medical classification.
