Rapporté par Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah, selon son père : Un homme a été amené au Prophète ﷺ pour qu’il fasse la prière funéraire pour lui, et il a dit : « Priez pour votre compagnon, car il a une dette. » Abu Qatadah a dit : « Je la paierai. » Le Prophète ﷺ a demandé : « En totalité ? » Il a répondu : « En totalité. » Alors le Prophète ﷺ a prié pour lui

أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ، سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أُتِيَ بِرَجُلٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ لِيُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ فَإِنَّ عَلَيْهِ دَيْنًا " . قَالَ أَبُو قَتَادَةَ هُوَ عَلَىَّ . قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " بِالْوَفَاءِ " . قَالَ بِالْوَفَاءِ . فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ .
Traduction anglaise
Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah narrated from his father that:a man was brought to the Prophet for him to offer the funeral prayer, and he said: "Pray for your companion, for he owes a debt." Abu Qatadah said: " I will pay it." The Prophet said: "In full?" He said: "In full." So he prayed for him
Traduction en ourdou
ابوقتادہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس انصار کا ایک شخص لایا گیا تاکہ آپ اس کی نماز جنازہ پڑھ دیں، نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تم لوگ اپنے ساتھی کی نماز جنازہ پڑھ لو ( میں نہیں پڑھتا ) کیونکہ اس پر قرض ہے“، ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: یہ میرے ذمہ ہے، نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پوچھا: ”تم اس کی ادائیگی کرو گے؟“ تو انہوں نے کہا: ہاں میں اس کی ادائیگی کروں گا، تب آپ نے اس کی نماز جنازہ پڑھی۔
