Rapporté par ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Ka‘b bin Malik, selon Jabir bin ‘Abdullah : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ mettait deux hommes parmi ceux qui avaient été tués à Uhud dans un même linceul, puis il demandait lequel d’entre eux avait appris le plus de Coran. Quand on lui montrait l’un d’eux, il le plaçait en premier dans la tombe. أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الرَّجُلَيْنِ مِنْ قَتْلَى أُحُدٍ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ " أَيُّهُمَا أَكْثَرُ أَخْذًا لِلْقُرْآنِ " . فَإِذَا أُشِيرَ إِلَى أَحَدِهِمَا قَدَّمَهُ فِي اللَّحْدِ . قَالَ " أَنَا شَهِيدٌ عَلَى هَؤُلاَءِ " . وَأَمَرَ بِدَفْنِهِمْ فِي دِمَائِهِمْ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَمْ يُغَسَّلُوا .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from 'Abdur-Rahman bin Ka 'b bin Malik that Jabir bin 'Abdullah told him that:the Messenger of Allah put two men from those who had been slain in Uhud in one shrud, then he would ask which of them had learned more Qur'an and when one of them was pointed out, he would put him in the Lahd (grave) first. He said: "I am a witness to these." And he ordered that they be buried with their blood, and that the funeral prayer should not be offered, and they should not be washed
Traduction en ourdou
جابر بن عبداللہ رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم غزوہ احد کے مقتولین میں سے میں سے دو آدمیوں کو ایک کپڑے میں اکٹھا کرتے، پھر پوچھتے: ”ان دونوں میں کس کو قرآن زیادہ یاد تھا؟“ جب لوگ ان دونوں میں سے ایک کی طرف اشارہ کرتے تو آپ اسے قبر میں پہلے رکھتے، اور فرماتے: ”میں ان پر گواہ ہوں“، آپ نے انہیں ان کے خون سمیت دفن کرنے کا حکم دیا، اور نہ ان کی نماز جنازہ پڑھی گئی ۱؎ اور نہ انہیں غسل دیا گیا۔
