كتاب صلاة المسافرين وقصرها
Rapporté par Salim, d’après son père رضي الله عنه : Une personne a demandé au Messager d’Allah ﷺ au sujet de la prière de nuit. Il a répondu : « Elle se fait par deux rak‘a à la fois, mais si l’on craint que l’aube approche, qu’il la termine par une rak‘a pour rendre sa prière impaire. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ صَلاَةِ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ " مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خَشِيتَ الصُّبْحَ فَأَوْتِرْ بِرَكْعَةٍ " .
Traduction anglaise
Salim reported on the authority of his father that a person asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about the night prayer. He said:It consists of pairs of rak'ahs, but if one fears morning is near, he should make it an odd number by praying one rak'ah

سفیان نے زہری سے ، انھوں نے سالم سے اور انھوں نے اپنے والد ( عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ ) سے روایت کی کہ ایک آدمی نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے رات کی نماز کے بارے میں سوال کیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " دو دو رکعتیں ۔ اور جب تمھیں صبح ہونے کا اندیشہ ہو تو ایک رکعت وترپڑھ لو ۔
