كتاب صلاة المسافرين وقصرها
Rapporté par Ibn ‘Umar رضي الله عنه : Une personne a demandé au Messager d’Allah ﷺ au sujet de la prière de nuit. Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « La prière de nuit se fait par deux rak‘a à la fois, mais si l’un de vous craint que l’aube approche, qu’il fasse une rak‘a pour que sa prière soit en nombre impair. »

Texte arabe original
وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ صَلاَةِ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " صَلاَةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خَشِيَ أَحَدُكُمُ الصُّبْحَ صَلَّى رَكْعَةً وَاحِدَةً تُوتِرُ لَهُ مَا قَدْ صَلَّى " .
Traduction anglaise
Ibn 'Umar reported that a person asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about the night prayer. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:Prayer during the night should consist of pairs of rak'ahs, but if one of you fears morning is near, he should pray one rak'ah which will make his prayer an odd number for him
Traduction en ourdou
نافع اور عبداللہ بن دینار نے حضرت ا بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ ایک آدمی نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے رات کی نماز کے بارے میں سوال کیا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " رات کی نمازدو رکعتیں ہیں ، جب تم میں سے کسی کو صبح ہونے کا اندیشہ ہو تو وہ ایک رکعت پڑھ لے ، یہ اس کی پڑھی ہوئی ( تمام ) نماز کو وتر ( طاق ) بنادے گی ۔
