كتاب الزهد والرقائق
Rapporté par Khalid ibn Umair رضي الله عنه : J’ai entendu ‘Uqba ibn Ghazwan dire : « Je faisais partie des sept qui étaient avec le Messager d’Allah ﷺ. Nous n’avions rien à manger sauf les feuilles de l’arbre hubla (un arbre sauvage), jusqu’à ce que les coins de nos bouches soient blessés. »

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ قُرَّةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ، بْنِ هِلاَلٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُتْبَةَ بْنَ غَزْوَانَ، يَقُولُ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي سَابِعَ سَبْعَةٍ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَا طَعَامُنَا إِلاَّ وَرَقُ الْحُبْلَةِ حَتَّى قَرِحَتْ أَشْدَاقُنَا .
Traduction anglaise
Khalid b. Umair reported:I heard Uqba b. Ghazwan as saving: I found myself as the seventh amongst the seven who had been along with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). We had nothing to eat but the leaves of hubla (a wild tree) until the corners of our mouths were injured
Traduction en ourdou
قرہ بن خالد نے حمید بلال سے اور انھوں نے خالد بن عمیر سے روایت کی ، کہا : میں نے حضرت عتبہ بن غزوان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے سنا ، وہ کہہ رہے تھے ، میں نے دیکھا میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ ( ایمان لانے والے ) سات لوگوں میں سے ساتواں شخص تھا خاردار درختوں کے پتوں کے سوا ہمارے پاس کھانے کو کچھ نہیں تھا یہاں تک کہ ہماری باچھیں زخمی ہو گئیں ۔
