Rapporté par Jabir رضي الله عنه : Umm Malik envoyait du beurre clarifié dans une petite outre au Messager d’Allah ﷺ. Ses fils venaient la voir pour demander de quoi assaisonner leur nourriture quand ils n’avaient rien, et elle allait chercher dans cette outre qu’elle avait offerte au Messager d’Allah ﷺ, et elle y trouvait toujours du beurre, qui suffisait à sa famille jusqu’à ce qu’elle l’ait complètement pressée. Elle en informa le Messager d’Allah ﷺ, qui lui demanda : « L’as-tu pressée ? » Elle répondit : « Oui. » Il dit alors : « Si tu l’avais laissée telle quelle, elle t’aurait fourni du beurre sans interruption. »

وَحَدَّثَنِي سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَعْيَنَ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْقِلٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ أُمَّ مَالِكٍ، كَانَتْ تُهْدِي لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي عُكَّةٍ لَهَا سَمْنًا فَيَأْتِيهَا بَنُوهَا فَيَسْأَلُونَ الأُدْمَ وَلَيْسَ عِنْدَهُمْ شَىْءٌ فَتَعْمِدُ إِلَى الَّذِي كَانَتْ تُهْدِي فِيهِ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَتَجِدُ فِيهِ سَمْنًا فَمَا زَالَ يُقِيمُ لَهَا أُدْمَ بَيْتِهَا حَتَّى عَصَرَتْهُ فَأَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " عَصَرْتِيهَا " . قَالَتْ نَعَمْ . قَالَ " لَوْ تَرَكْتِيهَا مَا زَالَ قَائِمًا " .
Traduction anglaise
Jabir reported that Umm Malik used to send clarified butter in a small skin to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). Her sons would come to her and ask for seasoning when they had nothing with them (in the form of condiments) and she would go to that (skin) in which she offered (clarified butter) to Allah's Apostle (ﷺ), and she would find in that clarified butter and it kept providing her with seasoning for her household until she had (completely) squeezed it. She came to Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) and (informed him about it). Thereupon, he (the Holy Prophet) said:Did you squeeze it? She said: Yes. Thereupon he said: If you had left it in that very state, it would have kept on provid- ing you (the clarified butter) on end
Traduction en ourdou
سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ام مالک رضی اللہ عنہا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ایک کپی میں بطور تحفہ کے گھی بھیجا کرتی تھیں ، پھر اس کے بیٹے آتے اور اس سے سالن مانگتے اور گھر میں کچھ نہ ہوتا تو ام مالک رضی اللہ عنہا اس کپی کے پاس جاتی ، تو اس میں گھی ہوتا ۔ اسی طرح ہمیشہ اس کے گھر کا سالن قائم رہتا ۔ ایک بار ام مالک نے ( حرص کر کے ) اس کپی کو نچوڑ لیا ، پھر وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئیں تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے استفسار فرمایا کہ کیا تم نے اس کو نچوڑ لیا ہے؟ انہوں نے جواب دیا ہاں تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اگر تو اس کو یوں ہی رہنے دیتی ( اور ضرورت کے وقت لیتی ) تو وہ ہمیشہ قائم رہتا ۔
