Hadith 2724 — Livre 13: The Book of Fasting
كتاب الصوم
Rapporté par Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ n’a jamais jeûné un mois entier sauf pendant le Ramadan. Et quand il jeûnait, il le faisait de façon si continue qu’on pensait qu’il n’allait jamais arrêter, et quand il arrêtait, il le faisait si longtemps qu’on disait : « Par Allah, il ne jeûnera peut-être plus jamais. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، - رضى الله عنهما - قَالَ مَا صَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم شَهْرًا كَامِلاً قَطُّ غَيْرَ رَمَضَانَ . وَكَانَ يَصُومُ إِذَا صَامَ حَتَّى يَقُولَ الْقَائِلُ لاَ وَاللَّهِ لاَ يُفْطِرُ . وَيُفْطِرُ إِذَا أَفْطَرَ حَتَّى يَقُولَ الْقَائِلُ لاَ وَاللَّهِ لاَ يَصُومُ .
Traduction anglaise
Ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with both of them) reported:The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did not fast throughout any month except during ramadan. And when he observed fast (he fasted so continuously) that one would say that he would not break (them) and when he Abandoned, he abandoned (so continuously) that one would say: By Allah, perhaps he would never fast
Traduction en ourdou
ابو عوانہ نے ابو بشر سے ، انھوں نے سعید بن جبیر سے اور انھوں نے حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے رمضان کے سوا کبھی پورا مہینہ روزے نہیں رکھے ۔ جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم روزے رکھتے تو اتنے روزے رکھتے کہ کہنے والا کہتا : نہیں ، اللہ کی قسم!آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم روزے ترک نہیں کریں گے اور جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم روزے چھوڑتے تو ( مسلسل ) چھوڑتے حتیٰ کہ کہنے والا کہتا : نہیں ، اللہ کی قسم!آپ روزے نہیں رکھیں گے ۔
