Hadith 2516 — Livre 13: The Book of Fasting
كتاب الصوم
Rapporté par Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Commencez le jeûne quand vous voyez (le croissant de lune) et rompez-le quand vous le voyez. Mais si (à cause des nuages) la position du mois vous est cachée, alors comptez trente jours. »

وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، - رضى الله عنه - يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ وَأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ فَإِنْ غُمِّيَ عَلَيْكُمُ الشَّهْرُ فَعُدُّوا ثَلاَثِينَ " .
Traduction anglaise
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:Observe fast on sighting it (the new moon) and break it on sighting it. But if (due to clouds) the actual position of the month is concealed from you, you should then count thirty (days)

شعبہ ، محمد بن زیاد ، حضرت ابو ہریرۃ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ تم چاند دیکھ کر روزہ رکھو اور چاند دیکھ کر افطار ( عید ) کرو تو اگر تم پر مہینہ پوشیدہ رہے تو تم تیس روزوں کی تعداد پوری کرو ۔
