Hadith 7362 — Livre 96: Holding Fast to the Qur'an and Sunnah
كتاب الاعتصام بالكتاب والسنة
Rapporté par Abu Huraira : Les gens du Livre lisaient la Torah en hébreu, puis l’expliquaient en arabe aux musulmans. Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a dit aux musulmans : « Ne croyez pas les gens du Livre, et ne les rejetez pas non plus, mais dites : “Nous croyons en Allah, à ce qui nous a été révélé, et à ce qui vous a été révélé.” »

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ كَانَ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ يَقْرَءُونَ التَّوْرَاةَ بِالْعِبْرَانِيَّةِ وَيُفَسِّرُونَهَا بِالْعَرَبِيَّةِ لأَهْلِ الإِسْلاَمِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ تُصَدِّقُوا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ، وَلاَ تُكَذِّبُوهُمْ وَقُولُوا {آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ} ". الآيَةَ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Huraira:The people of the Book used to read the Torah in Hebrew and then explain it in Arabic to the Muslims. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said (to the Muslims). "Do not believe the people of the Book, nor disbelieve them, but say, 'We believe in Allah and whatever is revealed to us, and whatever is revealed to you
Traduction en ourdou
مجھ سے محمد بن بشار نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے عثمان بن عمر نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم کو علی بن المبارک نے خبر دی، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے یحییٰ بن ابی کثیر نے، انہیں ابوسلمہ نے اور ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ اہل کتاب توریت عبرانی زبان میں پڑھتے تھے اور اس کی تفسیر مسلمانوں کے لیے عربی میں کرتے تھے تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اہل کتاب کی نہ تصدیق کرو اور نہ ان کی تکذیب کرو کیونکہ ہم ایمان لائے اللہ پر اور اس پر جو ہم پر نازل ہوا اور جو ہم سے پہلے تم پر نازل ہوا آخر آیت تک جو سورۃ البقرہ میں ہے۔
