كتاب الاعتصام بالكتاب والسنة
Rapporté par Anas : Nous étions avec `Umar et il a dit : « Il nous a été interdit de nous imposer des tâches difficiles au-delà de nos capacités (c'est-à-dire dépasser les limites religieuses, par exemple nettoyer l'intérieur des yeux pendant les ablutions). »

Texte arabe original
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ كُنَّا عِنْدَ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ نُهِينَا عَنِ التَّكَلُّفِ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Anas:We were with `Umar and he said, "We have been forbidden to undertake a difficult task beyond our capability (i.e. to exceed the religious limits e.g., to clean the inside of the eyes while doing ablution)

ہم سے سلیمان بن حرب نے بیان کیا , کہا ہم سے حماد بن زید نے بیان کیا , ان سے ثابت نے اور ان سے انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ ہم عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس تھے تو آپ نے فرمایا کہ ہمیں تکلف اختیار کرنے سے منع کیا گیا ہے۔
