كتاب التمني
Rapporté par Al-Bara' bin `Azib : Le Prophète (ﷺ) portait de la terre avec nous le jour de la bataille d’Al-Ahzab, et j’ai vu que la poussière couvrait la blancheur de son ventre. Il disait : « Ô Allah ! Sans Toi, nous ne serions pas guidés, nous n’aurions pas fait l’aumône, ni prié. Alors, ô Allah ! Fais descendre la tranquillité sur nous, car les chefs des tribus ennemies se sont rebellés contre nous. Et s’ils veulent nous faire du mal (c’est-à-dire nous effrayer et nous combattre), nous ne fuirons pas mais tiendrons bon. » Et le Prophète (ﷺ) élevait la voix en disant cela

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَنْقُلُ مَعَنَا التُّرَابَ يَوْمَ الأَحْزَابِ، وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ وَارَى التُّرَابُ بَيَاضَ بَطْنِهِ يَقُولُ " لَوْلاَ أَنْتَ مَا اهْتَدَيْنَا نَحْنُ، وَلاَ تَصَدَّقْنَا وَلاَ صَلَّيْنَا، فَأَنْزِلَنْ سَكِينَةً عَلَيْنَا، إِنَّ الأُلَى وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ الْمَلاَ قَدْ بَغَوْا عَلَيْنَا، إِذَا أَرَادُوا فِتْنَةً أَبَيْنَا " أَبَيْنَا يَرْفَعُ بِهَا صَوْتَهُ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Al-Bara' bin `Azib:The Prophet (ﷺ) was carrying earth with us on the day of the battle of Al-Ahzab (confederates) and I saw that the dust was covering the whiteness of his `Abdomen, and he (the Prophet (ﷺ) ) was saying, "(O Allah) ! Without You, we would not have been guided, nor would we have given in charity, nor would we have prayed. So (O Allah!) please send tranquility (Sakina) upon us as they, (the chiefs of the enemy tribes) have rebelled against us. And if they intend affliction (i.e. want to frighten us and fight against us) then we would not (flee but withstand them). And the Prophet (ﷺ) used to raise his voice with it. ہم سے عبدان نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو ہمارے والد عثمان بن جبلہ نے خبر دی، انہیں شعبہ نے، ان سے ابواسحاق نے بیان کیا اور ان سے براء بن عازب رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ غزوہ خندق کے دن ( خندق کھودتے ہوئے ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بھی خود ہمارے ساتھ مٹی اٹھایا کرتے تھے۔ میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو اس حال میں دیکھا کہ مٹی نے آپ کے پیٹ کی سفیدی کو چھپا دیا تھا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فرماتے تھے ”اگر تو نہ ہوتا ( اے اللہ! ) تو ہم نہ ہدایت پاتے، نہ ہم صدقہ دیتے، نہ نماز پڑھتے۔ پس ہم پر دل جمعی نازل فرما۔ اس معاندین کی جمات نے ہمارے خلاف حد سے آگے بڑھ کر حملہ کیا ہے۔ جب یہ فتنہ چاہتے ہیں تو ہم ان کی بات نہیں مانتے، نہیں مانتے۔ اس پر آپ آواز کو بلند کر دیتے۔“
