Rapporté par Thabit : Il a entendu Anas dire : « Une femme est venue voir le Prophète (ﷺ) pour lui proposer le mariage, en disant : ‘As-tu envie de moi (c’est-à-dire voudrais-tu m’épouser) ?’ La fille d’Anas a dit : ‘Quelle femme sans pudeur !’ Anas a alors répondu : ‘Elle est meilleure que toi, car elle s’est présentée au Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) (pour le mariage).’ »

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْحُومٌ، سَمِعْتُ ثَابِتًا، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسًا ـ رضى الله عنه ـ يَقُولُ جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم تَعْرِضُ عَلَيْهِ نَفْسَهَا فَقَالَتْ هَلْ لَكَ حَاجَةٌ فِيَّ فَقَالَتِ ابْنَتُهُ مَا أَقَلَّ حَيَاءَهَا. فَقَالَ هِيَ خَيْرٌ مِنْكِ، عَرَضَتْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَفْسَهَا.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Thabit:that he heard Anas saying, "A woman came to the Prophet (ﷺ) offering herself to him in marriage, saying, "Have you got any interest in me (i.e. would you like to marry me?)" Anas's daughter said, "How shameless that woman was!" On that Anas said, "She is better than you, for she presented herself to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) (for marriage)

ہم سے مسدد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے مرحوم بن عبدالعزیز نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے کہا کہ میں نے ثابت سے سنا اور انہوں نے انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ ایک خاتون نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئیں اور اپنے آپ کو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے نکاح کے لیے پیش کیا اور عرض کیا: کیا نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو مجھ سے نکاح کی ضرورت ہے؟ اس پر انس رضی اللہ عنہ کی صاحبزادی بولیں، وہ کتنی بےحیا تھی۔ انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ وہ تم سے تو اچھی تھیں انہوں نے اپنے آپ کو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے نکاح کے لیے پیش کیا۔
