كتاب النكاح
Rapporté par Jabir : Le Prophète a dit : « Je suis entré au Paradis et j'ai vu un palais. J'ai demandé : "À qui appartient ce palais ?" Ils (les Anges) ont répondu : "Ce palais est à `Umar ibn Al-Khattab." J'ai voulu y entrer, et la seule chose qui m'en a empêché, c'est de penser à ta pudeur (O `Umar). » `Umar a dit : « Ô Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) ! Que mon père et ma mère soient sacrifiés pour toi ! Ô Prophète d'Allah ! Comment pourrais-je être gêné par toi ? »

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ ـ أَوْ أَتَيْتُ الْجَنَّةَ ـ فَأَبْصَرْتُ قَصْرًا فَقُلْتُ لِمَنْ هَذَا قَالُوا لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ. فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَدْخُلَهُ فَلَمْ يَمْنَعْنِي إِلاَّ عِلْمِي بِغَيْرَتِكَ ". قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ أَوَعَلَيْكَ أَغَارُ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Jabir:The Prophet, said, "I entered Paradise and saw a palace and asked whose palace is this? They (the Angels) said, "This palace belongs to `Umar bin Al-Khattab.' I intended to enter it, and nothing stopped me except my knowledge about your sense of Ghira (self-respect (O `Umar)." `Umar said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you! O Allah's Prophet! How dare I think of my Ghira (self-respect) being offended by you?

ہم سے محمد بن ابی بکر مقدمی نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے معتمر بن سلیمان نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے عبیداللہ بن عمرعمری نے، ان سے محمد بن منکدر نے اور ان سے جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ میں جنت میں داخل ہوا یا ( آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ فرمایا کہ ) میں جنت میں گیا، وہاں میں نے ایک محل دیکھا میں نے پوچھا یہ محل کس کا ہے؟ فرشتوں نے بتایا کہ عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ کا میں نے چاہا کہ اس کے اندر جاؤں لیکن رک گیا کیونکہ تمہاری غیرت مجھے معلوم تھی۔ اس پر عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! میرے ماں باپ آپ پر فدا ہوں، اے اللہ کے نبی! کیا میں آپ پر غیرت کروں گا۔
